Hi there,
This starts my second week of the 60 minute running program and I walked 5 mins, ran 30 mins, and walked 5 mins. Then stretched, showered, and raced into work just on time!

I added a couple of low hills onto my run and it went really well. I'm feeling encouraged.

Please see & contribute to my thread about music....
thanks,
Morning Susan, good luck with the new program.
3.3 miles for me this AM, delightful 53 degrees and sun. Actually felt sproinky.
Packed stuff to go to spin class later.

Will look at the music thread from work.

Hi Susan and Barb, and greetings to all lurkers

Managed a nice little 7.5 miler this morning, chilly and layers, but a wonderful sunrise over Sandymount Strand, and a run with HP to boot.

Would love to feel Sproinky, but Mr Sproinky may get upset

Good going, Susan!

Wow, Liam, you ran with Harry Potter?

In my experience, Mr Sproinky turns out not to mind.

7 easy miles, 3 barefoot and 4 with Puddinhead
If only HP was Harry Potter and could wave a wand and whisk me to a BQ - Mine is a certain Peanut with a name change!

Good Old Mr Sproinky, a real sport!
G'Day Masters! I'm getting excited for tomorrow - I get to be a wench all day!! how fun!

I'll go for a run during my lunchbreak at the gym. I'm facilitating a class every Tuesday evening for the next 9 wks, so my Tuesdays are LONG days - need that run in there to get me off my bee-hind for awhile.

welcome back John - sounds like you got in a great trip with tons of exercise! 24 mile run??!!! You are a machine, man! a machine!
<<sekrit message to Johnny>>In case you missed it, I feel the need to point out my 11.2 mile run last Friday. I know it's not much to most folks - but you know where I've been and how slow I am at building mileage, so it was an accomplishment for me. <<end sekrit message to Johnny>
Morning, All.

4.5 EZ - holding back the sproink for tomorrow's hill intervals

Johnny! WB. Quite the 24-miler. Yes, Tammy is also a running machine.
Hope everyone got to read JJJessee's run yesterday. A gem.

A mosquito bit me on the arch of my R foot while I slept, and I'm dreaming that this will be the cure for PF forevermore. Oh, let's make it a cure-all for all running ailments.

So ...////.............in true tomwhite fashion........Take the screen off the window, guys...............pull back the blankets.../////........and let the healing begin.......
9M at 9's (AHR 143 <-- I'm making progress here).
Beautiful day here, no mosquitoes!
CRaig
I see Tammy is already for tomorrow P-)

Liam.. Poof....Philly BQ

SS .. It's kinda nice to know that your foot still needs babying even though your running has been stellar. Mine too. My bad foot was kind of muscle sore midfoot after today's speed work. I guess full healing is a long process. Maybe it's not ready for speed work just yet.

Today's run was 9.4 miles in 1:17:44 (8:15 avg) with 6 x 600m, 90 sec intervals.
Target was 2:32
Actual: 2:33/2:31/2:35/2:32/2:33/2:32
Kind of amazed I hit it right on (avg 6:50 pace) but it was IRC (53F)!

Isn't puddinhead the adoptee dog? And...........don't you owe us a picture of said adoptee dog? Do I need to go bump that thread for you?
Correct as usual, hally.

If the danged animal would hold still for half a second, I could take a decent photo. I'll post one tonight, I promise, here and on the B&B pet thread.
I got in 3.25 miles on the TM at lunch time.
Wednesday September 19th 2007 is Talk Like a Pirate Day! Talk Like a Pirate Day only comes once a year (on September 19th), this year it falls on a Wednesday.
If you're not ready yet, you can learn more about this international holiday on the About http://www.talklikeapirateday.com/wordpress/?page_id=9
page or practice some phrases from the PiratePhrases page. http://talklikeapirateday.com/wiki/i...=PiratePhrases
After all, you don't want to be handed the BlackSpot when the holiday is over!
Posting for my weekend and yesterday:
Saturday, 12 miles
Sunday, 4 miles of desert trail running
Monday, 6 miles of hills!!
Nice w/o, perch. (And thank you.)

It's probably just (another one of) my neuroses surfacing. A reminder not to ignore the little things. I knew I had "mild" PF going into Boston, but who knew it could "attack" as it did when it did.

So ease into your speed work. Be mindful of the hard w/o's. Oh, yes. And try to remember ... we're not 20 any longer, even though most days it feels like we are.
.....SS//........I never argue with Stuff that Works.........
(although Bug Therapy may test THAT theory)

Happy Skeeter Bitting to Ya......

.......................me and hip
(not a skeeter in sight)
are laying out til Thurs......
Secret message to Wench Tamster -> Noticed that you called your 11.5-miler "slow". 'Twasn't.

And nice run, Susan!

1 hour blissed-out trail run. Everything's gonna be alright.
Hello Kicksters! Can't wait until tomorrow, when you'll all be Mateys.

I didn't run today - it's my off day, plus I had to leave the house early for an all day continuing education seminar. (It started good, but evolved into a real sleeper where I found myself counting the squares on the quilted flag hanging on the wall...636, in case you're wondering).

Trippple J, that was a joyous run you had yesterday! Noted.

[sekrit message intrusion] Tammy, your 11.2 miler last Friday was also noted. Nice job. [/end intrusion into sekrit message to Johnny]

Johnny, 24 miles?!! Way to go, man! Especially no IT pain.

All the rest of you blissed-out mileage machines, nice running.

Now I'm off to bone up on my pirate lingo. (Thanks for the link Ilene).

Good Evening Kicksters!

Nice night out for a run - no humidity and a cool 65. I finally had my first decent run in a long while . . . 8 miles in 1:02:25. Cooler weather must have helped.
