Good morning everyone!

After yesterday's workout, my right upper calf started to act up... very tight and a wee bit sore just below the knee, around the medial hamstring attachment. Had this before and am not totally sure what's causing it.... did a set of hamstring curls with a bit more weight, but that's not unusual.

All in all... it didn't affect the spin class I did this morning before work. Followed that up with some ab and core strengthening and finished feeling all sweaty and righteous! jtwili

Have a terrific day, everyone!!

Nice w/o, Heme. Deep tissue massage - you have to work out all those adhesions.

Rip - good elipticalling yesterday. Sounds a lot harder than just running.

I felt the effects of yesterday's tempo and last night's lower body gym w/o. Took it easy today for a 6 mile recovery run, 8:50 avg pace.

Was it Johnny asking about my car? I can't remember for sure, bu t anyway, it was only in the shop for a week. I scheduled the work to coincide with DW's trip to Wally World with her sisters, nieces and nephews. That way I got to use her car. We don't have the rental car option on our insurance.

And would be believe it!?! Some big ol' SUV must have backed into me last night at the gym! When I went to my trunk to get my brief case this morning I noticed a brand new 2" crease on the trunk! Let's see, got the car from the autobody shop on Sat. Today's Tues....This car is jinxed! I'm p.o'ed.

You deserve to be po'd Mike.....you'll have to start parking that thing out in the south 40, either that or get yourself a beater. Yeah, that was me asking about the car.

Well, it rained most of the night, but by daylight it had stopped. Charged my Garmin on sunday, but evidently it either didn't hold or didn't charge. It's done this before, usually I check, but this time I forgot, so I ran one of my usual routes. 6.8 miles in the woods. Felt pretty strong and gave it a good effort, but without the watch & HRM I'm not sure how much of an effort. And would't you know, with a mile to go it finally started to rain, so, at least I got a little wet. Think I'll take tomorrow off and go hiking.

Johnny - I found that if I leave my Garmin hooked up for a lonnnnggg time, I think it begins to discharge, and the next time I go to use it, there's no juice.. If I promptly disconnect it after the "Charging Complete" message appears, it stays charged.

Hi Heme Mike and Johnny

I tore off a back roof on my parents house this afternoon which was a workout in itself. I then mowed and headed to get lumber. Pulled into the fitness

center at 9 pm and realized I didn't bring my gear so I took the day off which I probably needed after the last couple workouts. Hope to frame and sheet tomorrow and put shingles on

thursday so I will probably workout late each day. Planning on taking a roadtrip over the holiday weekend even though I won't be running anywhere.
