Howdy. I had a nice run last night -- 8.5 miles at a 8:25 pace. Today will be an easy couple miles, and I haven't figured out if I might do them on the TM or outside...

I really think I'm insane. I spent some time last night determining if I can use Frequent Flier miles to fly to some random state in the fall for a marathon. First one I found that works is the Omaha Marathon on Sep 28. Freq Flier miles work nicely for that trip. Sheesh...

Morning Jill, Nettie, Bob

I plan on running after work.

Feel a bit chuffed this morning. Bumped the weight in the pack to 23.1 lbs extra for the pull ups, but couldn't get a full 5x5 on it. Could only get 4 reps on the last 2 sets. Grrr.

I'm still carefully approaching the deadlifts. Bumped it up slightly to 140 lbs and got the 5x5 without too much sense of strain, felt less effort than last week's last 5x5 at slightly lower weight. I just want to be careful with the deadlifts, that part of me hasn't had nearly the work the pull ups parts have had so it's not as adapted, so I suspect the supporting structures involved with the musculature won't be as built up.

I did not get up early enought to run this morning. bah. I couldn't fall asleep last night and once I did I didn't sleep well. I'm 100% sure that the sleep issue is PMS related. I was thinking I'd try to run at lunch (which I've never done before since i get so dang sweaty but I thought I'd give it a try) but I have a slew of meetings today so it's gonna have to get done tonight after work.

I need bacon and potato chips.

Back at work, but the head's still clogged. I have Fitness club after work today and a speed workout on the schedule -- doubtful I'll have the energy for both, so I'll probably move Fitness club to a different day...

PTom, just curious: what's your MP? and how's DW?

Morning kids.

I did a nice easy 2 last night. Possibly at MP, but you'll just have to take my word for it!

Unfortunately my back was spasming overnight, so possibly too much too soon. Damn it, if it's not one thing it's another!

Good runs to all today!

Good Morning Everyone!

I just ended up riding the rollers for around 30 minutes last night, I ran out of time to do the second run. It was probably a good thing anyway, last week was pretty tough on the legs. I'm surprised how out of biking shape I'm in. I really need to ride a least 2 or 3 times a week even if it's easy. I also haven't been in the pool at all. I need to keep mixing these things in at least a little if I'm still planning on doing some tri's. Which I do, since DH got me a really nice P3 that I'm too afraid to ride outside...I would feel so bad if I crashed on it, I need to get over that.

I have 9 to get in this morning, just a regular run...I wonder if PTom's MP run is faster than my 5k PR pace? I bet it is.

RFTL and other Minnesotans, keep warm up there-it's been a crazy cold winter. I mentioned this in my race report on my blog, we are kinda sorta hoping to get a house somewhere near the cities as a summer home. We would like to get out of Florida for a few months to escape the summer temps and hurricanes. I'm pretty excited about the idea, I would like to be closer to my parents and it would be great for my running. We'll have to keep crunching numbers and see if we can pull it off...it wouldn't be anything too fancy, but feel free to throw some neighborhood ideas our way. I'm from the way up North and don't know the Minneapolis suburbs too well.

Have good runs everyone!

no running today. Tomorrow is iffy, because I have an evening event starting at 7. Thursday is when the Spirit of the Marathon comes back for an encore, and I'd wanted to go, but if I do, I may not run at all this week until Saturday. Not sure I like that idea.

9 miles, 5 @ HM pace. Tired as always. Another hard week on my schedule, but thankfully next week is a step back. I will need it. I am also on call next week, so that is good - I usually end up missing 1-2 runs on the weeks that I am on call, but if it is a step back week, that just forces more rest on me.
