Good morning, Mandy, and all who follow. Tis another off day for me today. I suppose I might hit the gym for a little lifting, but nothing strenuous.

Tomorrow is the last day to make picks for the Phantasy Philly game. Go to this thread for the details. Also, a couple of you have chosen Baggio for your team, and I believe that he is out. Is that right? Somebody should verify this, and then those of you that picked him should choose someone else. I sent you guys an email about this. You've got a little over 24 hours to change picks.

Mercedes people. Has anybody decided if they are staying over in Birmingham on Sunday night?

Hey, Voodoo. Do you want to try and run together for a while in Philly? I think your goal time is a few minutes faster than mine, but I might be able to hang with you for a few miles, kinda like we did in Cincy.

Sheesh, I think there was something else I needed to say, but it escapes me now. Oh well... Have a great day everyone...

Legs are still achy and feet are still sore. I don't know what shoes to wear to work today to help that. Can't run tonight because I'm getting my hair cut. Probably won't tomw because I just have a shitload of stuff to do...I think I'm gonna skip tap even. What I'm gonna do is plan to walk a couple of lunches this week...those miles will help definitely.

Hey all:

6 on the TM last night since it was cold and rainy and I felt like a wuss. I need to move one of the TVs down the basement with the new 'mill though because that was boring as carp. 6+ easy this morning, still drizzly out, but not as bad. Legs are feeling great and I'm starting to put the miles back on.

Baggio - sorry to hear you are out. I had missed that.

Duck - Congrats on the ranking!!

Morning,

Planning on 4-5 before going to a Thrashers game (sorry for the cross info! ) Planning on 4-5 tomorrow (whatever I don't do today) and then 3 or so on Thurs. Fri. will be off and I'm still undecided about Sat. May do a few (2-3) but nothing drastic.

Anywho.... Bob- Not sure if this matters, but if I come to Bham, I'd drive in Sat. am (possibly Fri. pm) and leave Sunday pm. I can't take any time off work if I want to come to Eugene.

Ok, back later maybe! Happy Tuesday!

Wow Bob - first you tell me there's no way I'm breaking 4 hours and then you ask Voo but not me to re-form the Cincy trio.

I'm going to drop the girls at the sitter and then go for a run. Hey, we can include that in our You know you're a runner when ... you hire a babysitter so that you can run. HeeHee

Two nights in a row now that I've had dreams about running. D'ya think I'm getting a little excited for Philly?

Day 8 of no running for me. Think the foot issue of last Monday was a pulled muscle. Feels much better but still a bit 'twingy'. Going to give it the rest of the week before I do anymore running. So, it's pilates and core for me all well.

Jill that's how I'm feeling these days...that I'll need to get a sitter in order to get my runs in! DH leaves for work really early and gets home late so it doesn't leave a lot of time for me to get out. And now with the time change it's dark when he leaves and dark when he gets back.

My new pilates DVDs (that the lovely Theia suggested for me) finally came in the mail so I'm gonna give them a go today. Then I hope to get a run in later.

roo - you foam rolling that left calf?

I'm hoping to bang out 6M east at lunch today b/f I go to the wake.

maria - do you have any words of advice from my question yesterday? I posted my 30 mpw mileage yesterday (actually it added up to 29).

I've been debating between going longer on my 5 day schedule w/2 days off or adding a 6th day. Not sure which. That's why I think alternating weeks of 5 days and then 6 days to start might work.
Just looking to see what experience has taught others that's all.
thanks

Cross trained last night. I began the new 10k week 1 schedule today. I really didn't want to go as I felt super lazy and out of it but that's no excuse. This also starts my first week of expanding my running to 4 days a week. Baby steps. Anywho gotta get ready to head to work. Have a great day all.

Hey folks. Took crazy dog out for a power walk yesterday and ended up doing a little jog/walk combo. I was shocked at how well behaved he was, he is actually more attentive when we were jogging. I think he might make an ok running partner after all...when I can run again!! Then did a pregnancy strength DVD someone suggested to me. Holy smokes, it was hard!!! But I flet awesome after, yesterday had to be the best workout I have gotten in quite a while!! WIll hit the gym for an aqua jog later today.

Question for you all. When you have a cross training day what do you typically do? If you were to do cardio and weights, which do you do first? Just curious!!
