Hello party people

Its freakin snowing here. Seriously?? About 3" on the ground. I wore shorts on Thanksgiving!

Got in a not so easy, easy 5 miler in the snow this morning. 1 fall, and yes it was seen by people... crap.

I also made it through my 10 mile TM trot yesterday.

BBS - nice workouts! Good job you live in the south (ish). We got some light flurries yesterday and more are forecast for today. Typically we get our first snowfall (that sticks) around this time.

I decided not to run in the 50mpm winds this morning, rather used my gym membership. 7.5 miles in 1 hour on the treadmill. Started slow and ran the last few at 7:30mpm. Pretty sure I have a mild strain in my right side abductor. A couple of days of not running has helped but it has me concerned.

Hey I am able to get on the web site again from work.

BBS - Nice job trotting through the snow.

RA - yep I probably would have kept it indoors with those winds.

Me - 10 mile run for me this morning. First 8 at an 8:30 pace and last 2 at a 6:52 pace.

Happy Training everyone.

Howdy gents,

Just a fly-by today. My world got kind of turned upside down yesterday...got laid off from my job. And yeah, I slept like crap last night, have a headache today, and am in a pissy mood. Lots of paperwork. And I need to find myself a good employment lawyer.

Raining here today but I'll get something in later. Just so I don't go postal.

Hawk--yikes! You're right. Get out there and do something. Vent the frustration.

David--great to see you back. Sure hope we can meet up when you are in this neck of the woods.

Asics--nice dreadmill trot.

BBS--nice way to start out the winter season. Hopefully you've met your quota for falls.

I had more stress before 9am than one should have in an entire week. Or month even. If I survive the next 6months... Only one thing to do. Headed to the fishbowl. Still feeling tired and beat up so stuck with an easy 2000meters. Because I was so pissed off, I probably swam it harder than I should have. Oh, and to the mother of two little kids with trendy names, NO I didn't find it "cute" that your kid kept throwing pool toys in my lane for me to run into. You are VERY lucky I didn't even start to vent. It would have been ugly. Very, very ugly.

BBS -- Nice job on the fall, Grace. Way to do KR proud. ;)

RA -- Good decision to 'mill it in. Nice pace, and hope that abductor abates.

IDB -- Very good run. Nice splits at the end. Just do that for 26.2, and you'll go sub-3!

Hawk -- I'm so sorry, buddy. Here's to your good health, and a quick recovery on the job front.

Mom -- Next time, get out, and throw the kids in your lane.

Me -- 8 running at 7:50-ish pace. Swim later.

Hawk - yeah, that seriously sucks. Hope you catch a good job.

4boysmom - I applaud your restraint.

Dave - nice fast finish. Do what Chances says.

Chances - why didn't you do what Dave did?

Well, tonight's ride was par for the course this week. With a mile to go in the dark, I ran over some branches some idiot homeowner left in the shoulder of the road and laid the bike down big time. And yes, I had a headlight on.

Aside from a little road rash I'm fine. The bike, not so much. Had to ride home the last mile with back brake only, no front brake and the gears are definitely screwed up now too. Looks like a trip to the shop is in order.

So when does this f*&%^ing week end again?

Greetings, all.

I got in a sluggish 3 miles today. A couple weeks ago this would have been sprinkled with walk breaks. But today I successfully fought that urge. Progress, I guess.

Hawk, I am sorry about the layoff. Too many good, skilled people not working.

Good runs, all
