morning all

Another rainy gloomy day here.. I guess I'll get in another TM run. Think I'm gonna go ahead and do tomorrow's Tempo, 8 miles w/ 6 @ 7:20 pace. Hope I can find something good on TV. 'Army of Darkness' helped out yesterday.

BBS - have fun with the tempo run. Gloomy here too.

Hawk - hope you are recovering well

Jebba - congrats on the hardware! Rest up.

I almost went to the gym at 3:30 am then fell asleep shortly before my alarm went off at 5am. I will need A LOT of caffeine this morning. Anyway, 5 miles on the TM to squeeze over the 2000 mile mark for the year. Currently I'm trying to keep my >100 mile/month streak going... may be tough this month as I just feel like slacking off.

In other news, we may be heading to Phoenix in January to visit family. That'd be the excuse for doing the Arizona Rock'n'Roll. I'm contemplating the marathon, just to do it, but it may mess up my Boston training. It's only $15 more than the HM... We have a hook up to get free entry or, at a minimum, VIP passes pre/post race. HM is the more sensible option.

Yep, recovery all the way for me. I've even got my special "recovery tights" on under my khakis at work today. I did manage to walk a mile or so at lunchtime yesterday -- very slowly -- just to get a little O2 to those aching muscles. We have our annual Thanksgiving lunch in the office today so I may not get away for a stroll this time. I'll just gorge myself then slink back to my desk for a nap...oops I mean to get lots of work done with all that fuel in me. Yeah that's it.

Anyway, I'm taking total rest this week. Getting back into XT next week. Then finally some running again in 2 weeks. Hopefully over Thanksgiving I'll map out my spring race plan. My marathon result left me in kind of a gray area on whether to do one for the spring...BQ was 3:25 and I made that, but 3:20 would have gotten me outside the 5-minute registration window. Then there's the question of getting a new NYCQ...2:58 marathon for my AG -- fugghedaboutit -- but 1:25 for a half is attainable on the right day, with the right training and a little good luck.

RA - sounds like a good opportunity in Phoenix getting the 1st class treatment. Go HM if you really want to crush Boston, though.

Greetings from New Haven. We flew here this morning for Thanksgiving with me in-laws. I got to house, laced up, and went for an easy peasy shake out. 3 miles in 30:45.
