Morning all

Hope everyone got their trick or treat fix last night.

I'm glad October is over... was not a very kind month to me. That being said- looks like I'm gonna log a goose egg today. I'm just dead tired. And mylegs are a little sore from Sunday's race. Getting kinda tired of this cool one day, cold the next weather too. My hands about froze off yesterday because I didn't pack any gloves. I guess it will be a little warmer on my runs after Day light savings passes.

Who knows, maybe I'll find some motivation and run a few on the TM later in the morning.

SRD. My right achilles tendon was pretty sore yesterday... not sure what's going but may be due to my calf being a bit tight? Doing ultrasound and praying it'll be OK come Sunday.

This morning DD was suffering from a Halloween hangover... she didn't sleep well hence we had significant drama. Also, I was wondering why my shoulders were a bit sore then I remembered that DD decided to sit in the laundry basket and request that I carry her, which translates to me lifting her over my head. It's a cheap version of CrossFit.

Looks like a lot of resting going on today. My SRD was yesterday, so I'll be heading out for a "lunch" of 7 miles or so in a little bit. Sunny and 50 out there...guess that means short sleeves and gloves.

RA - stick that calf! Any time my achilles gets tight that's what I do and it works.

I got in a 40 minute plyometric workout video and then some arm workout for about 5-10 minutes. Overall it was a good workout. Now we have snow coming down. I guess it that time of year.

57mins firm for me today. A bit sore, but felt good for the most part. I love this time of year...just out there running. I'm going to miss this come Jan-April with all the workouts on the track. Have a great day people. Rest well, especially you John - nothing new on race week, so matter how cheap. ;) Heal up now, ya' hear? Excited to see what will happen this weekend for you.

7 miles at lunch. Cruised along at MP until the last 0.5 mile when I dialed up a fast finish. Almost perfect running weather out there today...just breezy enough to create a headwind in a few spots but otherwise ideal.

This morning while doing my bible study I came across Proverbs 4:12 "When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble." Oooo.... this is gonna be interesting. I had a trail run planned for today. I waited until lunchtime when we had clear blue sky and 50*. Perfect weather for shorts and singlet. I headed to the metropark and started with the dog trail which I know well since the hound and I walk it frequently. The meadow loops were quite muddy, but overall not bad. The section heading back into the parking area was my downfall. Literally. At the last second I decided to take a fork to avoid deep mud. I stepped on a stick with my left foot and then caught it with my right foot. Landed hard on my right hip. Not only that, I stabbed my left calf on the end of said stick. I did a quick once over and realized I wasn't hurt. A quick look-see and realized no one had seen me (like the huge mud skid all down my right side wasn't going to give it away?!). I hopped up and finished that first loop. The second loop was on crushed limestone and was much easier. Well, except for the hills. Not sure which is worse--fear of going too fast downhill or the quad burning uphill. Whatever. I have a whole lot of work to do before the 10K trail race in a couple of weeks! 5.5ish miles, 9:30pace
