Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Public Announcement: There's still time to join the Holiday Streakers in the Mile-A-Day Challenge. Merely say hello in the Challenge thread and I'll add you to the list. Or keep quiet and do it on your own. Either way works. We have close to 20, most of whom earned a Gold Star for doing their mile-per-day in Week 1.

5.65 mile run early this balmy morning with the usual suspects over the usual route. Been doing this same run for roughly 10 years.

Great day, all!

Hullo everybody!

Been silent for a while dealing with a sore knee after NYC marathon. Trying to be good about it and letting it heal before I start my Boston base-building work, but it's so damn hard. Ran 4 days after NYC and that probably wasn't a good idea. Tried again a week after NYC and I still wasn't ready to go. Knee feels better, but still not 100%.

Anyways, did manage to get 1:47 on the computrainer today. Mostly base work, getting my legs (and my butt) re-acquainted with the bike. Felt great to be working out again!

Have a fantastic day, tri-peeps!

Mike: I totally hear you! I was out for 9 weeks with Tendonitis, I have only been back for 3 weeks. It is so hard to not run when you want to but sometimes you just HAVE to let the rest do it's thing. Try your best to take care of it.........now is a great time to embrace the bike!

Another 1 miler for me today. Planned on getting up early to do it as is usual for me. However, 37 degrees, 20 mph winds and rain made me decide to wait until this afternoon. Yeah, yeah, it's only a mile so I should have probably done it this morning...it just didn't sound to fun to roll out of bed and head out into THAT.

Love the energy in this thread!
Julie - I can see the twinkles in your son's eyes!
Mike - maybe some swimming is good for you?

5.25 mile on my TM in the basement. It was raining w/ 30mph gusty wind and I needed to stay near home for an expected phone call. I don't like my TM - just feels awfully hard (partly because of 1.5% incline?) Opening mile of 10min/mi was harder than it should have been. So decided to play with speed button. Ended up doing 5x800m at 4min (8:00min/m pace) with 400m recovery jog (2.5min = 10min/mi pace). Felt good. Doing 10x800m repeats at 3:30 (w/ 3:30 recovery) sounds hard at this point.... That I will have to be able to do by next marathon start. Hmmmmmm.

Drove to Ohio for biz.. Snowing here.... 30min strength workout done too.
