Loopy- hope the knee heals up fast

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do today. Kinda feel like being lazy, but I know I really will not want to run tomorrow. I guess I'll just go out for a run and see where it takes me.

loopy--what's up with the knee?

BBS--get out there and see where your legs take you.

Jill--have you posted a photo of the pup?

Fishbowl for me. Stupid tired, so really should have gone for a rest day. Got there and there was Christmas music blaring. Really bad Christmas music. The longer I swam the more pissed off I got, so I cut it to 2000m.

Need a sanity check here. Okay, besides the fact that I'm already crazy... There's a HM on 12/5. Weather should be perfect and based on training, I think I could PR. Since my full on 10/24 I've cut back on running, but still knocked out some double digit runs. Then I did the 3-day and have had trouble recovering. This past weekend, I did 9 @8:37 and most certainly had more in the tank. Cut it short because I didn't have water. Tomorrow is a rest day (baking all day). Thursday I'll get out early for a short trot. What should I shoot for over the weekend given that my race will be the following weekend?

Good morning everyone. I had a slow windy 5 miles in 45:11(9:01). Now I am tired. We have blizzard warnings in effect until tomorrow. We could get up to a 12" of snow. That with the wind should be interesting.

Morning. 18 degrees, no power. Oh boy. Thank god for my iPhone. Doc said iron and thyroid result look good. Now says it's adrenal fatigue whatever that means. Said it explains why I crash every time I start back running. We'll see! Will respond to others when powers back and I hav my computer.

I was too lazy to get up and run outside this morning. 4boysmom stole my motivation. Now planning on a late morning 5'er on the TM. A thrilling time is expected.

Dan - Sounds lovely! Stay warm.

kfuller - Yikes! Keep that weather to yourself!

4boysmom - I hate the way that Christmas starts in November. I mean at least wait until December! Anyway, I'd do 10 miles with the last 2-3 @ HM pace. It likely depends on your energy level.

Jill - how are those quads?

BBS - gotta keep those legs moving!

Loopy - I was expecting a 5'er with your sore knee. Oh well, lost that bet.

Dan- If it is not one thing it is another. Hopefully you can get this thing fixed and be back on the road to feeling great.

You know it is cold when you go to the store with your kids and one of them says " BRRRRRRRR!!!!". I think we have about a 20 mph steady wind and it is suppose to be 30-60 mph sustained winds and gusts this afternoon when the storm moves in. Just in time for the commute this afternoon.

Have a great morning everyone.

Mornin' all...

I'm feeling pretty tired after my "rest" day yesterday. Finally tumbled into bed at 12:30 am, back up at 7. But I'm hoping today's run will help to clear my head. I'm planning on about 6-7 near work. It is warm, 60s right now, but may be cooler & raining by the time I get out. I'm ready either way. No doubt I will crash hard this evening.

Dan - hope that power comes back on soon. That sounds miserable.

kevin - seems you are in for quite a winter. Nice job on the 5

loopy - well done on the foggy 10

BBS - your mojo is hiding in your shoes. Put them on. The rest will take care of itself.

Jill - enjoy the well deserved recovery time

4bm - is there any good Christmas music to swim to?

RA - hopefully you've got something better than bad Xmas music to keep you going on the TM later.

Greetings all!

First time by in a long time. Doing fine and running some. 3.1 miles the last 2 mornings in about 50 degree weather. Since they dumped the running log, I've gone to paper and just don't think about this site as much.

At any rate, glad to see all are well or mostly well. Happy Thanksgiving if i don't pop back in for a bit.

Lunchtime 5'er done. Now back to pretending to work.

Hawk - Have a good run. Looks like you have the weather we had yesterday. No Christmas musak on my iPOD... I switch between two playlists... one rock the other trance (melodic electronic bleeping sounds). It was a trance day today.

Brown - I was just thinking "where's Brown?" and up you pop like a genie. Welcome back. I, and many others, use the log at runningahead.com.

Back from the middayer, 6.1 miles total...was feeling pretty good today for a recovering marathoner. I started out at 8:12 pace, then dropped it to 7:40s, 7:30s, then 7-teens for the next 3 before kicking it in at 6:25 pace. I was working on improving my gait and striking more on the midfoot; I don't know if that had anything to do with today's pace.

Loving today's weather...63, cloudy. A touch humid but not too much so I can't even complain about that. Yes, some of us actually enjoy mild weather. Especially in late November.

Brown - welcome back, and try the online running log at Running Ahead. It's pretty good.

Now back at work, doing what RA is doing.
