Morning Gang -

Looks like lots of fun and little fitnessing around here today!

I got out for 5 miles, after pressing the snooze button for 20 minutes.

Gov - I'm going to Seattle later this week for our Girls Trip. Where can I run? We're staying downtown and I'll probably be too tired and hungover to do more than 5 miles.

Good runs and rests to all!

To trudge: the slow, weary, depressing yet determined [run] of a [wo]man who has nothing left in life except the impulse to simply soldier on.

That about sums up my run this morning.

Ok, maybe that's a little extreme, but it was definitely way more work than it should have been.

Got out for a nice, slow 5k this morning. Gorgeous day out there, sunny and crisp!

A friend of mine was in Hawaii over the weekend for the Kona Ironman. She came in 6th in her age group, finishing in 10 hours, 43 minutes and change. She was first in her age group in Germany earlier this year with a 10:10, so she's a bit disappointed with her Kona finish. But we're all pretty proud of her around here, that's for sure. She said the bike course was hilly and the run was hot. I just can't imagine doing something like that!

For the second morning in a row, I actually woke up before my alarm (which was set for 5). Did not have a lot of time because DH had to leave really early, but I was able to get in just over 5 awesome miles. It was 46 degrees, crisp, clear and fabulous. I needed it too because I was not in the greatest mood when I woke up. Last .5 or so I felt like I was running right around MP.

I am hoping to do some intervals tomorrow.

MORNING

did another 3 miles after work as a running partner was going to be running alone....I said why not It actually really helped loosen up my sore muscles. I feel so much more limber today!

Tonight is supposed to be 4 x 1 mile repeats. First 1 at tempo, second 1 at interval with a min rest in between. Repeat. Holy carp.

A gorgeous crisp run this morning. 4.5 in 38 degrees. I wore a new jacket I picked up last weekend, but after the first mile, it was tied around my waist. I can tell that the P90X weights are helping - I am definitely running stronger than before.

Morning all! After a full day of feeling like a zombie yesterday (stooopid red eye back from Vegas killed me) I'm back in the land of the living. Got about 7 miles run this morning with my Tuesday morning running buddy and may pull a Brandy and get out for a short 2nd run this evening

4 miles yesterday - I think I'll throw in some strength training today; that Warrior Dash is now less than three weeks away.

Other than the Dash though, I'm pretty goal-less at the moment. I figure I oughta' determine what the heck to do for the rest of the year and set my mind to it.

Good runs, workouts, rest days and/or healing up for the rest of ya!

No kidding! Plus, the course in Kona is ridonkulously difficult. Full sun for much of the run, often very windy, etc. Congrats to her!

Morning. Not too much running yesterday. Nice easy recovery day with a 4/7. Managed to get up this morning after staying awake way too late to watch the stupid Vikings' game. Grrrr. Four easy this morning. I think I sleep walked through it.

Lora - Thanks for the restaurant recommendation. I think that one might work. Of course you can come join us!

PM me your email address, and I'll send you a few options right downtown, plus a few options that may be worth a little bit of travel to different parts of the city if you are interested, and if the weather permits.

If it works for you, I strongly recommend running Alki Beach. I will find out the details for you, and give you estimates on travel times. ... If the Water Taxi is still running, it will leave straight from the pier downtown and head across the bay to West Seattle. When it docks, you just start running. You'll see funky beach houses,

Alki Beach is a great place to run. Flat, safe, scenic, and the quarter miles are marked right on the sidewalk so you can go exactly as far as you need/want to!

Hey, guys!

I think I'll skip the run today. I did a semi-difficult fartlek yesterday, and I just feel a little zonked today. Meh, a day off won't hurt...
