Morning all, got up a little earlier and did 6 miles navigating through some woods near my office that I've only been in a few times to a trail for a loop and back. Lots of fallen trees and some tight spots where you had to keep your elbows close.

Its not raining right now, but shows an 80% chance. So if i lace up my shoes, I'm sure the bottom will fall out on me. Gonna give it a half hour and see... if not <sigh> it'll be another 5 on the dreadmill...

Me - I had a great ride this morning. Days like this get me excited and makes me want to keep coming back for more. We did a group ride of 4 this morning. We started out a a descent speed average just under 18 or so for the first 8 miles and then the pace slowed as we had some mechanical issues. Once we got that fixed and made it to the turn around, 15.5 miles in, I let the other 3 get a 2 min head start on me. It was time to ride hard and steady. The route starts with a nice steep downhill where you can easily hit 40. Through the first 4 miles I was averaging 24 and through 8 miles I average 23.5. How exciting and fun. Once I hit the 8 mile mark I turned around to wait on the groups to finish the ride out with the group. Total of 31.2 with an average speed of 18.1.

zrun - Glad you made it through with no bumps or bruises.

BBS - Hope you were able to get outside for your run

Dave - Man, I could feel your excitement. Good for you.

30 minute walk today. My legs picked up the pace with no influence from me. A good sign I guess.

Sounds like fun Z.

Hope you avoided the treadmill BBS.

Awesome Dave- those are the best kind of workouts.

Always love it when you move faster without a concerted effort Kevin.

Out for a relaxed 7 with 10 stirders thrown in. Felt surprisingly recovered, and only got stronger throughout. I'm intentionally leaving the watch at home this week while I recover so that I don't goad myself into pushing the pace, but a quick check of the clock before and after says I was at about 8:15 pace or so. Not bad for no real effort 2 days after a marathon.

Morning all, those are some nice runs, walks and rides already in the books.

I packed for a midday run today even though a run wasn't on my schedule. I'm thinking of the little trail nearby, just a couple of loops to make a 4-miler or so.

Then if the rain holds off long enough tonight, I'm going to take the road bike out for a one hour ride. That should make for a decent double.

Looks like I am the last call for the night. 6 miles on the trail and felt sluggish I think because of the heat and humidity. The good thing is it will help get me ready for the weather in San Diego. Bad news is pup cut her peds up bad and is limping around. No running for her for at least a week while she recovers and I know that will not go well with her to be left behind. She is a runner at heart and we all know how it feels to be told no running during recovery. .

Hold up, don't forget there's a 3rd shifter on here!

Apple- I think my dog could use some motivation from yours.. I was watching him sleep on the back porch and he was breathing all hard, so basically dreaming was wearing him out.

Made it outside for a (dry) super awesome 5 miles today. Nothing special, but it was real easy and I had even splits.
