Early start today and a 12.5 mile run thru Dublin City, a loop of the Phoenix Park, and home along the quays. Ran nice and steady at a sub 10 minute mile pace, and given a very pleasant Summers Morning, an excellent start to the day.

Good morning, everyone. I guess I'll cross-post here and that other place...

Did anyone else get up early enough to see the lunar eclipse?

I'd like the weather to stay just like this -- 61F -- while the humidity was a bit high at 88%, it still seemed nice an cool for running. Pretty soon we'll be using words like crisp and nipply.

Stats: 8.1 miles GA 1:04 (7:56/mi)

6 & change in 57:32 this morning. Miles 5&6 at M goal pace. Hope I feel more rested tomorrow. May bag or shorten the last few taper runs. Only 3 more left.
Yes, I was running in full lunar eclipse.

Liam: Thanks for the notice and the work on the log.

Good morning!

I barely remembered the eclipse because I was focussed on doing some speedwork. I glanced up and saw a smidgen of a moon during an interval jog.
It was hazy (at humid and 70F). Managed total of 9.6 miles at 8:33 pace including 4x800m intervals averaging 7:10 which I'll accept for this mugginess. I was distracted on the intervals by three vans going down my "interval" street (there is never traffic at that hour except the paper guy). What was spooky is they came around again. Then on my last interval there were bright headlights stopped in the road ahead so I slowed a bit. Turns out that WAS the paper guy (whew!).

Mornin' all,

6 this morn' @ 8:50 pace. Didn't know about the lunar eclipse until after my run but must have caught the very beginning of it as the top of the moon looked a bit odd which I chalked up to partial cloud cover. Got back inside and heard about the eclipse on the news. Went back out just before the kids awoke to find a good viewing spot for them but the clouds had moved in and hid it, alas.

Good morning,
I just started that "run 60 minutes plan by Switzer" this morning so I ran 30 minutes at a 10.20 pace, with a 5% incline on the treadmill. I had stayed up late last night so I was a bit draggy but I did finish the session so I felt good about that. This plan seems to be a little better suited to my schedule than the intermediate C25k plan. My husband had loaded up new songs on my mp3 player so it was a good run once I got into it a little bit. I was counting down those last 2 minutes though, LOL.

6 "easy" miles? I'm impressed. I'd like to get up to that point where 6 miles feels "easy". I'll get there, someday, though. I'm a tough old Irish broad!

Hi all. My run this morning was mahvelous under the ecliptic moon! Actually, I only got one glimpse of the beginning of the eclipse. By the time it was in full eclipse the moon was too low for me to see over the trees.

I did a total of 4.14 miles this morning, but only 3 of them were running. 10:56 average pace - a bit slow but, hey, I can only get better. I'm just glad to be running again and know I need to be conservative as I get back into it.

Like Perch, I had a spooky experience this morning. As I was just getting started it was still quite dark and I was going up a big hill with lots of tree canopies blocking the street light. Suddenly there was someone standing there! It only took a second for me to recognize her as "regular". She said, "Good morning. That woke you up, didn't it?". The look on my face must have matched how startled I felt.

Riley, I'm with millbot: 5% incline is killer!

Good runs today, everyone.

Yeah, but I ran really slowly...... over 10.20 mins per mile. And I sweated a lot and turned beet red in my face, neck & chest. So attractive, LOL! 3 people asked me if I was OK.

PLUS...ok, this is embarassing....when I went to shower I realized I had put my running bra on backwards! The puckered "cup" part was between my shoulder blades! It's a stretchy thing so hopefully none of the other gym rats noticed but you'd think I would have felt uncomfortable! Guess I needed more coffee.

Good morning to all. Today is a rest day for me, but tomorrow I promise to get serious and do a short long run of 10 miles or so.

I woke up at 3AM to see the eclipse and wandered out onto the deck with my wife, but there are so many trees and mountains here we couldn't make out where the eclipse was, so we went back to bed. If I wasn't so tired from last weekend's events, I could of done another early AM run in an area free of trees.

I posted a H2C RR over at the other place, but I'm not sure about the format here. Over there we post 'em to the B & B forum, much to the consternation of everyone other than B & Ber's. I'll try to cut and paste it to the appropriate location here.

Have a nice day all, now I need to go to work, I've having a hard time getting motivated.

Glad some of you got a look at the eclipse. I thought about it woke briefly and went back down.

Got in 4 at 40:53 at Lunch. Temps in Western Mo have surged back into the high 90"s for a few days. 88 at run start. I keep telling myself it builds character and I will run faster when it cools down........ We'll see

Good runs all
laughing (with you, not at you!) at the vision of a backwards sports bra. Mine are the "racer back" style, so to put it on backwards would be rather, . . um. . . obvious . . even to a blondie like me! LOL

It really *was* very funny! It's not a racer-back (although most of my other ones are) but it's like a stretchy, tight, short tank, but it has gathering to um, er, "separate & lift" the girls, so to speak. Didn't really work well to separate & lift my shoulder blades though! My DH was totally mystified when I called him at work and told him about it, and says he can't picture it. I guess that's a good thing. I still can't believe that nobody mentioned it to me in the gym, though.

Someone mentioned something in an earlier post today, something like preparing for a C2H or something like that???? What is that????

Thanks,
feeling ridiculous,
