Morning all

Today is a speed day. Race pace speed day, and the only good race pace is suicide pace and today looks like a good day to die...

Or maybe I'll just settle with goal 5K pace (6:30s).

BBS - well, if it's on the TM, flying off the back could be deadly...

kfuller - Nice job on the snowy run.

At my alarm there a thunderstorm rolling so no chance of running outside. Now planning to get in 5-6 before lunch on the TM at work.

Yep, it's a "stupid day" for me. I packed a bag for running and figured I'd use the shorts and shirt I had only worn for an hour or so last night after I cooled down from my workout. I left them hanging on a hook in my bedroom, then this morning I packed my shoes, socks, even my Garmin...and forgot the shirt/shorts. So I guess I'll be running this evening. Meanwhile I guess I better get another cup of coffee.

Yesterday was a planned rest day, but I got home from work early and it was warm, so I hopped on the bike thinking I'd at least ride 30 minutes, maybe even 45. But then it started raining as soon I got the bike out to the driveway and lightning flashed in the distance. The rain didn't bother me at all, but I kept an eye on the sky...I made it 24 minutes before the lightning got too close for my liking and I called it quits. After all that we never got the thunderstorm, just a few drops. Oh well it was a nice little reintroduction to road biking I guess.

BBS - kick it out, run like a bear's after you.

Kevin - nice job on the snowy 5. We had 70+ yesterday but actually have wintry mix this weekend. Winter's last gasp I guess. I feel sorry for folks running the National Marathon though...that could easily have been me but I decided not to do it this year.

BBS--nothin' could get me to a 6:30 pace.

fuller--you can KEEP your snow!

Asics--enjoy (???) the dreadmill

hawk--sounds like you need to lay everything out the night before. Maybe make a check list--homework, papers signed by parent, backpack, lunch money, etc.

Nuthin yet. Waiting on an email. I met with one pastor yesterday and she said I"m too screwed up for her to deal with, so she wants me to meet with the sr pastor. Recovery run whenever I get to it. 40* and overcast, so not real motivated to get out there.

Can't read everyone's posts now- thats what I do at work every night around 11:30- can't mess up my routine

6.5 at the Arboretum this morning, I was running late and disorganized too, finding my HR strap in a puddle next to my car, and stopping on the drive there to check that I had brought pants for work. If I am not meeting up with people at a specific time, planning tends to go out the window :)

Nice runs all / good luck getting them in!

Finished with 5 long slow boring miles on the TM. Just wasn't feeling it to go longer even with my latest audiobook. I was also trying out a pair of Saucony ProGrid Mirage shoes. Not great. Not bad.

Hi everybody. I was up early for a p90x workout. Then this afternoon I let DS play on the PBS kids website while I ran 4 miles on the treadmill.

APPLE!!! Get back here and close the door without slamming it! Oh, and nice to see you!

Okay, now THAT sucked. Finally got out for a run. Drove over to the bike path, hoping I'd find my motivation there. 'Spose it was "enjoyable". Haven't run there in a long time. Legs are TIGHT! Both knees hurt. Can't really say anything good about the run, other than it's over. Had planned on mid-week longer run tomorrow, but no way that's gonna happen. 4m, 9:00pace

Hi guys. I meant to get out for a run today but never found the time. The motherboard on my computer crashed so that had to be rebuilt; I found a great computer repair store nearby and they had it to me the next day. So awesome! I got to meet Apple last night which was AWESOME! We've been talking for, what, nearly 4 years and I have yet to meet her even though she lives within a half hour drive? I met her at the Jack Daniels lecture over at RW headquarters. Man! Than guy can talk. I bet he could go on for hours. I never could make it through his training book with all those graphs and formulas but last night he made it all sound so simple. He has some major smarts, that guy.

I'm strangely and completely recovered from running a 50k only 3 days ago. How does that happen?

Keep up those great workouts, everyone.

BBS, sounds like a great run.

Hawk, I think it's nicer out now than it was earlier today so maybe it worked out for the better.

Jill, you may have been right. Nice evening for running, mid 50s with some humidity but enough of a little breeze to keep the moisture away.

9 miles this evening. After a couple of easy early miles (8:40, 8:00) the pace quickly progressed through the 7:40s, 7:30s and 7:10s. Hit 6:51 for mile 8 then "slowed" to 7:11 while climbing 2 big hills to get back to the house. Core session afterwards while watching some hockey on TV, pretty good game between the Flyers & Capitals.
