morning....

Going in early back to back has got me feeling strung out. Weather still sucks here, high 30s and cloudy. I think I'm gonna hit up another run on the TM today just since it will be easier. 3 miles most likely. Some show about weird ocean creatures helped me through the 5 yesterday.

Probably will have to Hold over tomorrow morning, so a run will be doubtful.

Good morning BBS.

Today I have been married 8yrs. I am not sure what my wife and I are going to do tonight. Most likely go out to dinner and that will be about it.

As for running this morning, I got 5.5 miles in 48:03(8:44). It felt better than yesterday. Have a great morning everyone.

Please pass the coffee..... Rough night last night. Exhausted so went to bed early. Tossed and turned but couldn't sleep due to a headache. I had already taken Aleve for my knee, so not sure what htat was about. Knew I couldn't sleep with hubby's breathing machine, so headed downstairs to sleep on the couch. Son1 was still up doing something on my computer. Then son2 was up doing something. Finally around 1:30 I was drifting off when I was rudely awaken by a spraying sound. What the?!?!?!?!!? The line to the ice maker blew. Again. Had to wake hubby to get the water shut off, then clean up the mess. Son1 who also got up to clean up the mess asked if I planned on going to the gym in the morning. Uh, no. Finally got some sleep. Woke this morning at 6:45 and realized son2 overslept. So, got up to get him up. Since I had to drive him to school, which is on the way to the gym...

Fishbowl this morning. 2000m easy swim. No real goal with this workout, other than just doing something. Knee is feeling much better. Just the occasional twinge. THink I might have dodged the bullet on this one. However, I'm looking at another race that is two weeks later. That puts me in bad position for TOSRV, but I don't know that I have any other choice if I still want to do a HM this spring.

Morning all,

It's kind of gray out here too...rain is likely coming at some point today, followed by hard rain tomorrow. That seems to be the pattern we're in. Colder and windy or warmer and rainy.

7 mile progression run planned for midday. I'll hopefully double up with an evening 5 or so later.

Nothing going so far today as the HM curse continues unabated. I felt terrible (having sinus issues) when my alarm went off this morning so decided it was best to get more rest. Taking two days off typically throws me off so I may try to get in a quick recovery jog later and then today's scheduled 10 miler tomorrow am. Any later in the week and I risk being over tired for the race on Sunday.

Hawk - Good luck with the post work 12.

Dave - good call on the rollers

4boysmom - sounds like a thrilling night

kfuller - congratulations! Should have run 8 miles....

BBS - talking about weird ocean creatures... where's JD these days?

MTA: 5 miles on the indoor track. Legs felt drained. Had the distraction of a woman in hot pants in front of me for the first few laps... lost my place in the audiobook

Yesterday was an easy 6.5 recovery. Today was a p90x workout, and then a mile with DD.

Well, completed two days of seminars and glad it ended early. Tried to post from BB but no luck. Since seminar ended plus daylight savings I was able to get 4m done on trail with the pup. She was surprised and excited to get a weekday run on the trails. Pup was covered in mud and I had to wash/rinse her twice to get all the grime off her but she had a blast !!

Wrapping it up for the day I guess. Well the rains came in early so downstairs to the basement treadmill I went. I ended up doing 11 total - 6 miles at an easy pace, then 3 x mile repeats @ 6:40 with 400 recovery jogs after each. Then I cooled down until I got to 11 and decided that was enough.

I'm not sure but I think that's what RW calls a "fatigue interval" workout and I'd say it lived up to the name. I would have preferred to make 4 repeats but that just wasn't happening tonight, not after a long workday and a sketchy night of sleep last night. Oh well, it seemed like a good race simulator workout.
