Well I have this crazy little pain in my left hip so tonight i guess I'll be sticking myself while I study for the last day of finals. I think I have the worst of it today, but tomorrow will be equally bad I'm guessing.

Plan for running once again has been moved to Thursday and I can't wait!

2 more days....

Have a great day.

Good workouts all! My run consisted of a wonderful six miles of recovery this morning in gorgeous conditions (63°F). I had a good night of sleep and though I felt a little groggy when I woke up, I felt very good once I started running.

I have a lawyer's conference to attend this weekend and I was just notified that there will be a 5K race on Thursday evening as part of the conference festitivities. Once my boss heard about the 5K, he informed me that I should run it. I figure if the firm is willing to pay for my entry fee, I'll oblige by running the 5K. (One concern: this conference is at the Lake of the Ozarks, one of the hilliest regions in the whole state of Missouri. This will be one hilly 5K.)

Enjoy your runs/workouts/finals etc.

Nice ticker, dude!!!!!!!

yesterday's run i felt like an uber slug. we stopped for water and i was told we ran 4 miles, my watch was at 42 minutes, and i had not stopped it when we crossed the two intersections and stopped for several minutes to drink water or when i walked up the monster hill. So, we were running much faster than my 10+ min average on technical trails. lol. No wonder i felt like i was dragging, i was flying!!

Well poop - I went for my 4 mile recovery run at lunch - was just enjoying the day when .... I brain farted and steped sideways on a step and rolled my ankle - not real painful, but swollen and it also pulled on the outside of the calf muscle - I will ice tonight when I get home. Not exactly what I want 11 days out - oh well - you have to roll with what you got.

Ouch, Flounder! I hope it doesn't interfere with your plans.

I managed 3.1 miles in 30:10. I did 7 minutes on the stationary bike before Easy decided he'd had quite enough of the bouncy seat. I'll try to complete the bike workout when mr jebba gets home.

Do y'all mind if I start logging here, too? Think it might help the motivation.

I did a very easy 10 miles at Stone Mountain. 1:57.
Meant to do more, but laziness took over.

Plan tonight was 8 with 10x100m stride outs. I did the plan running 4 miles then did the 10x100m strides with 100m recoveries in between. Then I ran the remaining 3 laps for mile 6, and the final 2 miles.

I was much faster early on tonight. The sun came out during the strides and it really took something out of me. The miles after the strides were much slower.

Overall a good night.
Run Segments
About 10.5 miles

2.5 warm-up
4.5 @ I-pace
1.75 recovery laps
2.5 cool-down

I love my local running group. The women outnumbered the men. And the fast chicas outnumbered the boys...

Workout was a ladder. 200-400-600-800-1000-1200-1000-800-600-400-200

all with 400m recoveries

After the last few weeks of tempo runs, it felt good to let loose with the faster Interval pace.

Splits: :42/1:25/2:11/2:57/3:40/4:29/3:35/2:56 (skipped the last 600, 400, and 200)

Felt good, even though I was the slowest in the group.

Ran 4 miles with a local running group that goes out every Tuesday evening. It was my first time running with them. The route is good, although I was slow. Ah well, it's better than not going at all. 41:51, because I walked sometime around 3.5 miles.

I was really, really hungry at 3 miles. I felt lightheaded when I stopped. That's unusual, although the start time is an hour later than I usually run and I ate my lunch a bit early. That could be why.

must be shit luck in WI...after a day of being on my feet with a field trip, I really didn't want to run...but I had taken Sunday off and I didn't want to send myself into a taper. My body really wasn't responding and then my calf hurt. I thought it was a strain, but it's looking like a tear . This is not a household to be around today. My DH is hobbling around on a broken toe, my calf hurts, and one son is missing his field trip with a stomache and the other is mad because he has to wear nice clothes for his 5th grade graduation. And the dog wants to be walked
