I skipped last night's run b/c I somehow pulled hamstrings on both legs. I'll take today's scheduled day off and then run tomorrow morning. That will give me 72 hours between Sun morning's run and Wed morning's.

Going to really have to motivate myself. I didn't sleep well b/c of a sore throat. Still have the sore throat. Good thing it's a scheduled short day anyway.

Taught pilates class, then swam 1800m in the pool. I did a lot of sprint sets today. It took most of the workout for me to "connect" with the water and get in the groove -- that was nice.

Not been sleeping well - not surprisingly, and not been feeling up for running, but with only 23 weeks to Philly I need to get motivated. I managed a 12 minute lite run tonight - I will improve - I promise.....

Hi!!

General Aerobic run with speed today ... 7.3 with 10 x 100m striders.

Had a bug fly into my eye at about 1.5 miles, then actually rolled my ankle with about 1.5 to go (on sidewalk, like an idiot!). Fortunately I didn't hurt myself, but it's the same ankle I sprained earlier this year so I'm nervous ... Anyone have a balance board, and what do you think of them? Do they help?

Anyway, good run despite those things.

wobble board would be great for your ankles. Jump roping as well.

thanks Meri! I will be getting back to running some trails again for my recovery runs so hopefully they help too (as long as I don't hurt myself on them!). I'm such a klutz sometimes.

Track workout tonight. 800, followed by a bunch of weird 80-second sprints it seems. We have a weird track coach.

I rolled mine this past weekend also while momentarily lost on my trail run. I wasn't even running, wandering around looking for trail markings and I stepped in a hole. Can I join.

I had rolled mine about 1 week ago - 3 days of treatments and it was as good as new - 1 - 5 gallon bucket with very icey water and 1-5 gallon bucket with very hot water. 5 minutes in the freeze - 2 minutes in the hot - repeat 5 times. Out with the bad old blood - in with the good new blood to the injured area.
