Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Been out of touch since Saturday. Drove to Pittsburgh for a family reunion. Total of 24 hours in the car over 3 days. Brutal. But worth it.

Saturday: 4 miles easy

Sunday: 10 miles on the Rachel Carson Trail covering a total of 5000 feet of elevation change (up and down). Yes, it was that brutal. Hooked up with a friend who lives out there; she organized a trail run with her friends for me. Very nice. Very hard. Many sections were not runnable. Took 2 hours on the button. It was the fastest they did this trail by over 20 minutes. Think they were trying to impress me. :)

Monday: 5 miles easy but very hilly, probably with close to 1000 feet of climbing. Hotel was located on top of a huge hill.

Tuesday: 4 miles easy start to tempo finish.

Nothing for me today. Rolled out of bed early when the wife got up to run, but after several hard days of workouts and a late night with fireworks and beer I just couldn't be bothered to futz around setting up the trainer and laptop for what I knew would be a lackluster performance. So I went back to bed for another hour.

Counting down the hours to finally meet Ronbo and family!! Hope his drive down to Portland goes well!

20 miles on the TT bike this morning with some hills tossed in. Summer has most definitely started. Now relaxing since the brisket is braising and will continue to do so for several more hours. Hosting Bannon, Ronbo, and their families for a LIT BBQ tonight.

Daily run this morning. When I got home I got a call to come to work immediately if possible. Showered and went to work. Just logging in now.

The big brass were at the store today and my department was given very high marks. Could be even better if they would provide us with more adequate inventory to sell. Even though we can usually get something within a few days, most people want their shoes right away and will go somewhere else if we don't have what they're looking for in stock.

After the bigwigs left most of the day was spent cleaning up after people with the manners of 5 year olds. It's almost unbelieveable how disrespectful many people are. One guy must have pulled about 30 pairs of athletic slides off the pegs on the wall and just left them in a big mound on the floor and walked off. And as bad as it gets some days in the footwear area, the apparel people have it even worse.

Enough venting.

I noticed I went past the 1000 mile mark for the year. I have some tough races coming up and I'll be ramping up a bit in the next few weeks.

Posting late. I did an hour and 5 mins on the trainer Tuesday. Resting and icing ankle faithfully. Tried a jog up the driveway but it did not agree with me. Hooked on every word on the kindle. I may need an intervention.
