Good morning all.

Sorry about work BBS - hope you get the run in.

I did 10 miles in a "wintry mix" of snow and freezing rain. I did multiple laps of the flat, 0.8-mile loop near my house to make it a little safer, but was still kind of sketchy and I had to take things pretty slow. I wore my trail shoes, which definitely helped...

BBS--good luck getting the run in.

loopy--gotta love that "wintery mix". Your run sounds exactly like what I plan to run tomorrow.

Fishbowl this morning. Very uninspired, cut it to 2000m.

Today was nice and slow on the run. Even though I had my headlamp on it was still very dark this morning. 5 miles in 46:29(9:18). Nice job on the early morning workouts. Have a great morning everyone.

Good morning/noon all,

Wintry mix here today, too. My driveway this morning was like a skating rink.

Hopefully as things warm up it will get a little better out there. Either way, my run will be very similar to Loopy's. I'm going to try the little trail loop near the office that I discovered yesterday. 1.2 mile loop and I'll be wearing my trail shoes of course. Traction will determine pace but I bet it will be on the very slow side.

Happy birthday Jebba!!!

Well, I've been a bit uninspired about my running for a while, but I was still moderately pleased with how I raced last Saturday for the alumni meet. 3k with a workout 2 days before...haven't done anything else since October besides go for runs. Mileage is about half of what I was doing last year, but I managed to run about a 9:35 compared to my 9:20 last year following a month and a half of workouts. Not racing until outdoor season, so hopefully I'll get in a lot of solid training and time trials before April.

Way to go on your workouts everyone.

Back from the afternoon run. 5 loops of the little campus trail, 6.6 miles total including the run to/from the office to get to the trail. Mostly crunchy snow/ice under me. No slippery spots. Kept it all at recovery pace. I'm hoping to do a few more miles at home on the TM this evening, same way -- super super easy.

35min shakeout this morning, and then a fast workout at practice. 4x300 very speedy with 20sec recovery (felt like 5secs) followed by a 400 at tempo pace. 4mins between reps. Weights tomorrow morning and a morning shakeout if I can brave the frigid wasteland.
