Morning!

Fun for me: not sure yet. I'll let you know if something exciting happens. I guess one fun thing is I am about to go for a run and it is in the 40s. It is raining, but I'll take it. The rest of the week it will be in the teens for my morning run. brrrrr.

Oooh - love the Santa pic!

Fun (sorta) paying off my bet from the loss on the GA Tech / UGA game this weekend. I owe a co-worker a lunch!

Hilarious: Amy's Santa pic. I'm sure it wasn't fun for the little man at the time, but that picture is FUNNY!

That's why I haven't tried to get Santa pics with the girls yet. I have a feeling Evelyn would be all little miss cool and Lena would pitch a hissy.

Oh my...those sweaters yesterday...hideous!

A couple of months ago we found out my aunt has breast cancer (this is one of dad's sisters...you may remember dad lost 3 siblings to cancer last year). Well, she had a lump removed from her breast and was going through treatment. They just found cancer on her liver and one of her collar bones. *sigh* I have no words.

Good Morning All!

(((((Clare))))) I'm so sorry.

I actually slept really well last night. I made myself a cup of tea after picking DS up from the rink at 9pm, cozied under the covers around 9:45 and was out. I even slept until the alarm, which never happens. Yay!

(((Colleen and family))) that really sux! But also reminded me of a very interesting book I saw and just purchased, The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer Every single one of us knows someone that has been effected by cancer and this book outlines it's various forms, what has changed over the years, where is stands today, etc etc etc. I find the topic fascinating as it does effect so many of us in very personal ways. Anywho, I'll be sure to post a review after I get it read.

so my 30's dream last night starred our very own BEAKER !!!!

Beaker was getting bored on her leave from work so she decided to go play hockey with the boys. 9 months pregnant and playing ice hockey on skates. Of course she falls and goes into labor where she procedes to have a C section and delivers an 18 pack of Easter eggs. Of course the eggs had to be taken out one by one but they did make sure they were packed safely away in an egg carton.

so 30's what the heck does that dream mean????

Hi all - at least this morning wasn't as cold (condensation on the windows, but no frost). Ended up getting to bed at a relatively reasonable hour too, which is always good

(((((clare & family))))) Cancer sucks indeed

Litch - reminds me of a shirt one of my co-workers got for their kid...except yours is a lot better

With all the (awful-looking) sweater talk (one of my worst Christmas presents ever was a hideous brown with splotchy stripes, itchy-as-hell, woolen sweater), let me ask a QOD - do you have any issues with regifting?

I'm of the mind I won't unless the person I regift will find the thing useful. The sweater I mentioned above ended up going to a Goodwill store (where it would be someone's choice to get the sweater as opposed to an obligation)

Aw Colleen...I am so sorry. :(

Mother f'ing cancer.

I am grumpy. Woke up 90 mins early this morning, and of course...fell back to sleep 20 mins before my alarm. I should have just gotten up, but it was so dark.

I had a report due yesterday, had to ask for an extension, it's done but it's still late because it was due to my boss at noon and it's in edits. Just.awesome.

QOD: I'm big on regifting. I'm also not opposed to buying something at the thrift shop or a yard sale and giving it as a gift if I think it's a good one for the person.

ETA: I realized maybe this seemed like I was telling you to clam up! NOOOO, I meant it for your annoying coworkers! You, OTOH, are hilarious and I welcome hearing your thoughts! :)

FB is blocked at work, so I can't see Amy's pic. I like Litch's tshirt design, though! And Maureen's LOLcat.

Maria, thanks for asking. It was stressful but successful. We had 13 people for dinner and an additional 5 for dessert. GoV did a masterful job in the kitchen (of course). I hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday!
