Awesome pics!

Fun: dark chocolate and winning a case this morning.

Not fun: track workout cancelled tonight. Makes sense, but it still bums me out a little.

Awful crappy totally not fun: I called a potential witness in a case a couple months ago and she never got back to me. She just called and left a VM this morning saying the day I called her mother was diagnosed with stage IV cancer, that she recently passed away, and that she was just now catching up on life and calling me back. Ugh.

Happy anniversary, KP and Tonya!

Not Fun: We ended up taking Lena to the doc this morning because it looks like something bit her on the eyelid. Her whole eye was swollen shut. Looks horrible. It's into her cheek and nose, too. Doc said it'll likely start looking better soon. He suggested kid's Benedryl and some eye drops to keep any infection from getting in. Poor girlie.

Not Fun: Having to order 4 new tires for the car. Well, ordering them is ok. Paying for them isn't fun.

Fun: It's a nice day, finally!

Fun: Fresh, local strawberries and Lindt chocolate bar for a snack!

Moon looks so serious in that wine tasting pic!

I just lerrrrv the BardMoonCam shots! You guys just look so happy!!!

So, Tony. Also a guy that went to my high school, he was a year ahead of me. I didn't know him all that well in high school, but we've been FaceBook friends for a coupla years and we'd gotten to know each other better through FB chatting and Scrabble playing. So, he knew when I was breaking up with C and decided it was time to let me know how he felt about me. He said that one day he had realized, hey, I LIKE her. But since I was with C, he respectfully kept his distance, but figured that it was only a matter of time since I had plenty of time for chatting with him and Scrabble playing - that meant I wasn't seeing much of C. So, when the time came, he acted! I was pretty resistant at first. No, not Tony! He's my FB chat and Scrabble buddy! No, I'm not attracted to him like that! But he was persistent and at the same time, not pushing too hard, if that makes sense. And I eventually came around. He makes me laugh all. the. time. I think he's hilarious, he just cracks me up. And he's a Super Dad, they're supposed to have joint custody but the kids are with him most of the time, and they're really great kids. In his FaceBook Basic Information it says "My kids are my greatest achievement". Nice. And he's really good with my kids too. He's not a runner but he said he would really like to come and see me at a race and cheer me on. I like him, I think he's a keeper.

I'm still reading threads. Much to catch up on.

Mini trip report...we pretty much ate dessert and watched Broadway shows. Here's a bit more detail:

Fri: arrived at LGA on time, taxi to the Roosevelt hotel, dropped bags, walked to the TKTS booth and purchased tickets for Mary Poppins. Just enough time to grab a snack on the way to the theatre. After the show we learned the hard way that everything near the hotel closes early, but we did find a deli that was open late.

Sat: slept in a bit, then breakfast at the hotel. Walked to FAO Schwartz, then Central Park for a carriage ride, through times square for M&M, Hershey and Disney stores and then back to the hotel for some rest. We had dinner at a Mexican/Columbian restaurant then saw the Lion King. We had dessert after the show at Planet Hollywood.

Sun: walked to Ellen's Stardust Diner for breakfast and enjoyed the singing wait staff. Walked to the TKTS booth again and got on line for tickets, but found a deal from Broadway Box that we could buy over the phone. We then got on the subway and rode a few stops away and back, because DD was insistent that she had to ride the subway! We then spent about an hour at Toys R Us until it was time for the Billy Elliott matinee. After the show, we walked to Grand Central Station and had cupcakes at Crumbs. Then BFF & her son had to pack up and drive back to Boston. DD and I went to American Girl to buy the Doll of the Year just before closing. We checked in with Maria, but we were all tired and decided not to get together. DD and I were laying down by 8:30 and asleep before 10.

Mon: up early for brunch at the American Girl store. It was much better than I expected, and DD loved it. We spent another hour exploring there, then got a taxi for the airport. DH picked us up, and after the hour drive back to our town, we met my parents and DS at Olive Garden for dinner to tell them all about the trip.

YES! DS is doing great too! I posted his haircut pics on FB - no more Hair Bear boy!

And he's been getting up and getting to summer school on time! He did miss some last week because he was sick, but it was a true illness. He still has a crappy croupy sounding cough. He's been way better about keeping the baby man cave in order and not stockpiling pop cans and dirty dishes anymore. He's much more interactive and chatty with me - as opposed to the sullen withdrawn kid he was before.

I am uber happy right now.

And of course, since things are going so well, in the back of my head I'm preparing for something bad to happen. heh.
