Morning!

My fitness has sort of sucked lately, so I need to do something.

Count me in with the slackers. But that all changes this week as I start training for Tough Mudder and Chicago. The last 6 weeks I have really allowed my fitness to lapse, so I have some real work ahead of me - especially to get in shape for Tough Mudder which is only 3 weeks away! Yikes.

I did 6 easy this morning. Tonight, the boys and I head to the track for some speed work. I am not doing the Capitol Mile this year for the first year in 6 (because Tough Mudder is the day before), but both boys are doing it. I can't wait to see how they do - especially James since he has really improved in the last couple months.

Morning all! Was feeling super wiped out last night after yoga and still this morning so I pushed my run to this evening. Brought my stuff w/me to the office to do a run commute home. Sorta hope it rains while I'm out there, could use it to cool down.

Whoa, no posts since my last? Oh wells. I ran home from the office, got about 7.35 mi done in total; decent night and not overly hot. I still sweat like crazy but that's pretty standard.

This thread has been pretty dead the past few weeks. Where did everyone go? I went for a 2nd run today for an easy 7.2 miles.

Holy carp that track workout tonight just about killed me. It is the 3rd session for the group (out of 6), so they are in high intensity mode. We did a warm-up; strides; drills; then a ladder workout: 1200m; 3 min rest; 1000m; 2.5 min rest; 800 m; 2 min rest; 600 m; 400; 200; 200; 200; 200. It was seriously kicking my butt and I was a bit concerned about starting with such an intense workout after doing virtually nothing the last 6-8 week. So I cut the 600 into 400 and skipped the 400. So I missed 600 meters overall. Other than that minor bail, I was able to hit all the paces (starting at 7 m/m dropping tp 5:3x m/m). I am going to be sore tomorrow.

Fingers crossed that this big ramp up in mileage (5-50) plus speedwork doesn't kill me. :)

What is everyone training for right now? Let's list some goals and get remotivated in this joint.
