Okiedokie.. it looks like no one is going to start the fitness thread, so i will do so.

Though I have no fitness to report. I got sidetracked last night and didn't do a bit of upper body or core stuff. Ahh well!

morning

I got in 7 miles last night. I ran the first 4 with the boys and a new girl so I was a bit fast and really didn't slow down the next 3. It was bootiful out...except for the swarms of mating gnats.. YUCK

Elliptical and little miss evil for me. Trying to be diligent on all the prep for Saturday's hm, although I have little confidence that I will be able to shave much time. We'll see.

I know, they were bad by me too. Had gnats for afternoon snack during my run yesterday and for breakfast during my run today!

Got a sucky feeling speed workout done today. 9 miles total, with 2x800m, 2x1600m and then 2x400m. The only ones that felt good were the 400m intervals, cause I knew they would be done quick. Just did not feel good at all.

My workout yesterday was yoga. Me and Rodney Yee, but Rodney didn't have to deal with an overly interested cat!

This afternoon I'll do a swim bike combo. Really have to rework the schedule now that the knee has changed things....

That's a great workout...the kind that never feels good during.

no run for me yesterday, still feeling sickly. I'm feeling better today, hoping to run this afternoon with some of my training buddies.

Good morning, ladies.

I had a nice run last night. 6 miles, each mile faster than the one before it. Felt good. Dunno what I'll do today. Really crappy weather, and I'm not sure I'm in the mood to run in the rain. Usually I don't mind it, but I might opt for the TM at the gym instead...

Morning (for another 3 mins) all! I've got a run on tap for tonight and a monster amount of laundry, that needs to be done pre-RTB packing. Also hoping for a quick P-Tom meet-up!

Amy – what about setting mini-goals for the race rather than just the finishing time? Maybe something about a neg split or a positive split but under x amt of time or walking for x period of time, etc etc??

Cindi – mile repeats give me crazy anxiety, great job!

5.3 miles this morning, a bit faster than I was expecting but the pace didn't feel like I was working too hard so I went with it. Weather was perfect, although I shouldn't need to wear gloves on a run on May 17th.

Gus was throwing his big kong at me (he has very good aim, and throws hard) and whipping his rope toy around (and wacking me with it) while I butt taped this morning. So after I finished I ran 2 by myself to get the lead out, then took him out for a couple. WEEEEEEE! Lets go FASTTTTTT!

speaking of yoga, I think I'm going to skip tonight's class

Hate to do it, but my right knee's been a bit off ever since my fall, and last week I had a hard time holding the poses. It doesn't really bother me while I'm running (thankfully!) but there's definitely something off. I've been sort of babying it this week, so I'll see how it is on Thursday and if my OWS is cancelled due to rain, I'll catch the class that night.

Took off from work today. Got a good 8 miler done with my sister without getting poured on, and then went and got my hair done. Now I'm off to grade papers. On my day off. Grr.

Thanks, but I'm more interested in Lauren Fleshman's act recently. Kara has been a bit too princessy for me to be a big fan.
