Got 6.1 in last night. Nothing great or fancy.. just miles accomplished, but at least I got em done.

No idea about tonight. Wanted to run after work, but mom wants to meet for lunch, meaning that I can't come home during lunch to give Beau a RR break... meaning I'd have to cut my run after work to like.. 2 miles or so, to get back home in a decent time.

5 miles done on the TM this morning. 4 more miles later today, after softball.

(((2oh))) I hate feeling like that with a LR. Good for you for pushing through, though!

Good morning everyone.

No run last night. The most action I got was falling down the stairs in the house. Ouch. Nothing major, just bruises and soreness. I'm such a clutz.

Spin class tonight!

Ailarie I just noticed your ticker...only 19 days til your half marathon! Exciting! I visited Georgia a few years ago. A good friend of mine was living in Dahlonega (sp?). We had a great time. I even got to visit Dawsonville (which is a cool spot for a NASCAR fan) and the 6 Flags in Atlanta (which wasn't so fun for someone who doesn't do rollercoasters...hee hee!).

Good morning, guys and gals...

I did 7 miles last night, just one day after my 20k race. I think I went faster than I should have (9:08 pace), and I was feeling somewhat sore this morning. I'm going in late to work today, so I went for my run first thing. But since I was feeling a little stiff, I kept it really slow. 3 miles at 9:53. I think it's a good thing. I followed up with 6x100 striders, but they weren't very good striders. Oh well, at least it was something...

This was an always-exciting track workout, so fort hose who like these kinds of things, here's the google map and here's the elevation profile.

Just a couple of easy recovery runs today, most likely 6am, 4pm. It's pretty nice out now, so this morning outside and then maybe later on the TM with some incline work...theme of the week for me.

I need to figure out what to race this weekend. There is a 5k on Sat. that was really nice last year (forecast high 87, ugh) and a big 10 miler and 5k on Sunday (a chilly 85); if I do the 10 miler, it probably won't be an all out effort. It looks like a fun race, though...

I need to race something to replace my intervals. Eventually, I'll get these interval workouts down but I guess for now it's just so much easier for me to go that fast during a race. I'm too afraid to try them at the track after the disaster that was last week's try. My confidence is so shaky with those.

2oh, sorry about your bad run yesterday. I'm guessing the next few runs will be great and things even out.

Holy cow, Clare, be careful!

Yesterday ended up being rather odd. We had those big winds on Saturday night and early Sunday, and something got messed up that power was still out where I work yesterday. I helped out to get staff operational with limited equipment that could use the backup generator, but after that, I didn't have much to do so I took the rest of the day for myself.

Ended up golfing. Course was almost completely empty, I walked around in 2.5 hours. Decided later on to pass on doing the tabata interval workouts I had been thinking of doing along with the burpees.

The weather should be nice for running this afternoon.

Nice golf workout Scratch!

Glad the slower recovery running felt better Bob.

Careful Clare!

I slept like crap b/c of life issues floating around in my head. So finally just got out of bed at 4:30 and went to gym. Speed workout. 6.25 miles total.

1 mile at 9:40
10 min (1.3 miles) at 7:45
2 min at 9:40
10 min (1.3 miles) at 7:45
2 min at 9:40
10 min (1.3 miles) at 7:45
1 mile at 9:40

Had to stop during each interval for mini-mental break - to tie shoe and adjust my attitude - maybe about 30 second break. Hate doing these types of workouts on the TM b/c I watch every second tick by and it goes soooo slow (except those 2 min. recovery breaks - how come they go so fast??). But it was too dark to do this workout outside.

Good runs to all!

RFTL - Nice workout. Treadmill beats no workout at all.

6.5ish easy last night plus a swing by the track to try to do some pace work for Saturday's race. Went. Way. Too. Fast. That's no good. 4 x 1/5 mile, goal was 64 - 59,60,60,61. Pbbt. If I start my race that way i am t-o-a-s-t.

I'll try again tonight. Tempo tuesday, lighter this week. 2 sets of the above plus 4 @ 5:50.

Later all. Good runs today.

Brandy - First read I thought that said recovery METH. Uhh... yep.

No run today on my schedule. My ankle feels a little twingy. I think I remember turning it a little during my run as I was trying to work my way around some snow and puddles. Nothing too serious, but enough to make me glad that I don't run today. I do walk a lot when I volunteer, but I sit on my butt all day at work, so I think I"ll be ok.

MN Folks - DH and I registered for a 10k at the end of April around Minnehaha? Something like that. The registration was sober but the agreement to do it with our friends in MSP was made while lots of alcohol was being consumed, so I dont' feel too bad about it. So -we'll be down for that one for sure.

Today, I have a rest day. May get some core and arm work in, but with 3 midterms tomorrow, I may not.

Morning all,

I got out for a 15 mile cruise around the neighborhood last night. Felt pretty good. Today though, I feel like total carp! I don't know if it's a cold, or if I'm not sleeping well, or getting enough sleep, or still jet lagged out from west coast time plus the time change or all of the above.

Anyway, today's workout is a tough track workout. 11 miles w 6x1200m intervals @ 5K pace. It's raining now, so I'm planning on hitting the track at 4:00 this afternoon. I hope I feel up to it.
