Well I actually got myself to actually do some core work, so hopefully I can do this a little bit each morning and night so I can add a few points to my VRAA scores. Those medicine balls sure make crunches a bit easier. Also some pushup variations so hopefully they'll help out.

Please think of me tonight...the only event I'm in tonight is the 3200m and I know there is actually gonna be some excellent competiton. Top 3 medal and if I run a PR hopefully I can grab one of those.

Have a great day.

Alex - Good running in the 3200 -

I had a solid workout today - Nothing spectaular, but improvement is based on a steady diet of solid workouts, not a few spectacular ones.

14 total miles with 8 @ T in 4x2mile intervals - THis was a TM workout - T = 9.9 MPH and 1% incline. My goal by Grandmas(June 16th) is T = 10.0 MPH and 1.5% incline. Well within a reasonable expectation.

BTW - It was 48F - Light wind this AM - A perfect morning for a run - And there I was on the TM - I guess I am a bit crazy.

Alex - good luck in the 2 miler!

Flounder - Mikey you're a mileage animal!

Me - 8.1 hilly miles with 8x100 strides at the end. 1:15:30. It was supposed to be at a regular pace, but I backed off a bit, particularly since it was hilly.

36 degrees. Ran in shorts.

Alex, run well.

Flounder, I just don't understand how anyone can run for 14 minutes on a treadmill, much less 14 miles. I just hate hate hate treadmills.

I got out there and enjoyed the wonderful weather (59?F) with a slow 4-mile recovery run.

Keep them fun!

Not sure why I am a freak that way - I love running outside - But I Love having perfect control over my LAT workouts - On the other hand I am perfectly content on running my Vo2 - 6x5 minutes anywhere on anything - trails - whatever - just going by feel.

There is something magical about running in the morning outside - You get out way before dawn - then 20-30 minutes before dawn the birds start singing - the sky lightens up and if your lucky a beautiful sunrise.

A short and sweet 2 miles in 20 minutes today. Four weeks post partum today, and feeling great. Little Easy is the big athlete in the house; last night he rolled over from his front to his back three times in a row.

Yesterday 4.5 miles in 46:01 on a mostly flat route. My knee was feeling OK, too. Today my hip is bothering me, ITB related I'm sure, but I don't think the way I sit helps. I've been trying to find a different position that is still comfortable, but have yet to do so.

Good exercise everyone!

Good luck, Alex!!

{{GB's ITB}}

6 easy for me today. 30 degrees cooler than yesterday. 53, sunny, light breeze. Perfect weather for a run. Todays 8:13 mm/m pace was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Have a great day everyone!

Well, shoot, Alex won't see my good luck wishes!

I taught a pilates class and then a yoga class this morning. I am so lucky to start my workday like this.

After my last class I got in the pool and swam 1900 meters. Do not be impressed by that, it took me about an hour (with breaks). Time to work on getting faster and stronger in the water.

An easy 5.2 miles. Nice weather. Wore shorts. Ran faster than I have been. My legs are finally coming back.

I was affirming your own words in which you referred to yourself as "a freak." Now come on, anyone who relishes a 14-mile workout on the treadmill has got some issues (certainly not to the level of the twisted Clubhouse-type issues, but issues I say).

5.5 miles in 42:43 at lunch. One PTI and part of a Wait Wait. I was cruising, did some pick ups and finished strong. This tapering stuff is easy when you're not going for a goal time in your marathon.

The reduction in mileage has my legs feeling stronger and "more connected" if that makes any sense.
