My friends husband is shift manager at this plant and was telling me about it. I'm guessing whom ever recieved 150 lawn mower handles instead of 3 thousand pounds of pot is pretty pissed right now.

morning peeps.
 
keeerazy busy at work, I never even had breakfast (just ate a few almonds a couple of mins ago and finally cracked open the thermos of coffee (homemade latte, wheeee) I brought in. request from the Prez's office first thing! Gees.
 
Tonight I'm going to the <a href="http://www.foresthillstrust.org/calendar.html" target="_blank">Day of the Dead celebration</a> at the cemetery.

I haven't voted yet. I can't say I've ever been so ill informed of the candidates or issues as I am this year. Good grief.

Speaking of hair...I've been trying to grow mine out, which is good in theory, but now that it's a bit longer...I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm going to give in another couple months, then decide. I have an appt for a cut next week, that i think I'm going to reschedule, even though it really needs a trim.

I wish we didn't. I can't wait for today to be over. We are getting phone calls literally every 10-15 minutes from candidates. They're all automated, and even if we don't pick up they leave these long 'vote for me I'm so wonderful' messages.

Yes, I voted, but them calling me is pissing me off more than making me want to vote for any of them. If we're on the 'do not call' list how are they calling?!? SOFA KING annoying. :snarl: DON'T BOTHER ME AT HOME!!! It's bad enough that every day our mail basket is FILLED with propaganda. What a freaking waste of paper.

I have on my poodle pants today. Which are actually more leggings, I guess. Sisterleenie made them for me from some stretchy black polar tech fabric she got from <a href="http://www.therainshed.com/" target="_blank">Rainshed.</a> She made some for herself too, and they've been dubbed poodle pants. <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/lol.gif" title="">

Well, if that's what you're getting, it's better than what a lot of those ads are like. Most of them aren't "Vote for me, I'm so wonderful". Instead, they're usually "Don't vote for the other guy because he/she sucks"...

One good thing about dropping my landline last year is I'm not on anyone's lists (for the most part). I'm sure this will change over time.
 
 
 
One bad thing, though, is that when I call 911, I get State Police first. Given that the only reasons I've called thus far haven't been urgent issues, it's ok ("hi, I'm calling about suchandsuch and need Boston Police dispatch") but it scares me a bit that I live alone and would have to get connected in a real emergency. I was talking on a cop who was patrolling my 'hood yesterday and he gave me the number to call directly to BPD dispatch...but I'd still rather just call 911. (plus, my phone goes into emergency mode when I dial 911, which safeguards me from getting other calls while I'm talking to Police.) I've really thought about getting a landline solely for emergencies.

We've been shopping for a new home phone because our handsets keep dying and I found one at Target that has an Ignore feature! 
You save the caller ID number into the Ignore program and if/when they call again, they just get a busy signal! Freaking genius!! <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/banana.gif" style="width:33px;height:35px;" title="">
