Morning.

Well, I have been off work just long enough to make it hard to get my sleep schedule back right. Gotta go back in tonight :(

Looking for some kind of motivation to do my planned 8x400 this morning. Not feeling so hot. Been scared to step on the scales since I have been acting as a human garbage disposal for the past 3 weeks...

I did 10 miles on the canal path this morning. Thankfully, a lot less wind than yesterday...

BBS - The pounds will come and the pounds will go. Sorry about work but hope you get back on your workout routine.

Loopy - Sure glad you're heading North after the storm. Enjoy and Happy New Year.

Went to gym early with the wife. Did a couple of little errands. Set up dentist's appointment (getting a permanent crown - all the painful stuff was done last year). And a bit of driveway clearing from the overnight drifting. Other than that, today ends the first half of my holiday vacation.

Good morning! I was supposed to do hill repeats today, but wasn't feeling it, so I did 5 very easy miles on the treadmill at the Y. Watched a tv show called "hoarders." It was fascinating and sad. It made want want to go home and throw everything out.

gretreiver - Have fun at the dentist. I've got a tooth that just started bothering me. I see a dentist in my future!

Jebba - Nice to have options. I've seen the ads for that show. I imagine they are sad stories.

Loopy- Travel safe

Dan- Hopefully you'll feel better tomorrow

gret- sounds like you've been plenty busy this morning

Jebba- That show is crazy.

400s done. 5 miles in all. Did them a bit slower than norm.. I am going at my 5K training different than last time. I was doing 2 speedwork sessions a week and I think that may have been partly why I did not have the results that I wanted to this year. Only 1 a week now, hoping the added time between will help give my legs more time to absorb the previous workout.

The funny thing is, I think I've got to get a filling in the exact same spot on the opposite side, once the crown is in.

Putting the crown in is easy. I survived the extraction and subsequent insertion of the anchor for the implant (to me, crown and implant are imterchangable). Being a good Belgian boy from Wisconsin, I don't know the meaning of the word pain. Of course, being a good Belgian boy from Wisconsin, I don't know the meaning of a lot of words.

gretriever-Where in WI did you come from before settling out in ME?

BBS-Hopefully work in tolerable....it's always rough doing anything after vacations.

Dan-Just got back from the dentist, right side of mouth is still very numb and strange feeling. Off to go run since I can't eat.

Loopy-Safe travels up north! Have fun.

Jebba-I'm a total pack-rat who is trying to break the habit. Way to get the miles in.

Good afternoon all, almost evening for you folks back east.

Despite this being my vacation I had to put in a few hours from my remote location for the man today. But I'm done with that now, so time to go work out. I'm probably looking at 5 or so recovery miles, perhaps with some weights afterwards. It's another wacky wet day here in Oregon, so I think I'll stick to the treadmill today. SIL's complex has a pretty nice workout room, so I think I'll take advantage of it.

Nice running all. And BBS -- I actually like the idea of 2 quality workouts a week, but maybe instead of 2 interval sessions you should one interval workout and one tempo run. Just my $.02.

34mins easy-peasy run done. Try for 50mins faster than a slog tonight.

Enjoy your vacation CMJ!!!

gretriever-Very cool! My high shcool coach (who I just helped haul a deer to my dad's butcher shop) and his wife are from Green Bay. My sister went to UW-EC and my brother and I went to UW-River Falls, but I am actually still there. Cool stuff!

Good afternoon. I got in 80 pushups, 200 crunches of different varities and some stretching. My son wanted to go for a walk and that ended up being mostly running as that is what he wanted to do. Now time to relax.
