I ended up getting my 5 on the TM yesterday after work. No work today, or for he next few days for that matter. I'm looking to get an easy 4 miler in sometime around mid-morning, then continue cleaning up the Christmas aftermath, DW has some friends from out of town coming over tonight.

BBS - nice job getting that run in. Enjoy the time off work.

Hawk - Happy Birthday!

My head said stay in bed but my heart said go run. Should have stayed in bed. 5.5 lack luster miles. I think I'm not recovering well enough from the harder runs. Need to work on that. 35F and a bit damp.

RA - Glad to see you beat the bed.

Me - well I was up at 5 am, hydrated well for my upcoming workout, and then I went and back bed with DW and fell asleep. I guess I will get my workout in later. RA - the bed beat me this morning.

Morning all and thanks for the b-day wishes. 2 more years til I age up to an easier BQ. Not that I plan to need it.

Having a casual breakfast right now which eventually will settle and I'll be then ready to roll. It's dreary outside plus I want to give my new trainer a spin so that's probably the revised plan. Maybe I'll even jump 3 feet over to the TM after the ride to make it a brick to nowhere.

BBS - enjoy the 4 later

RA - way to beat that bed

Dave - I know you'll bang it out later.

Morning, all.

Hawk -- Only two more years 'til you age up? Well, Happy 38th, then! ;-) Have a good (maybe) brick.

BBS -- Enjoy the break -- from work, that is.

RA -- Well, call it a recovery run. GJ.

Dave -- The bed magnet can be a bear. You'll get out there, I'm sure.

Me -- Swim TT had to be postponed until today. Gonna head out for 8 GA miles, then go to work for a bit, then head to the pool late afternoon.

Workout complete - Trainer ride this afternoon. 50 minutes on the trainer watching Ironman World Championships 2011. I used the indoor cycling book workout E2, Going Aero. 15 minute warm-up followed by 10 minutes aero, 10 minutes sitting upright, 10 minutes aero with 5 minute cool-down. The main set was in HRZ2 with a cadence of 90.

Greetings from Arizona. I've had a bad cold, so i've been running the minimum while on vacation. Yesterday we spent the day driving to the grand canyon and back. I ran a mile one one of the rim trails. I looked like a tool jogging around all the other tourists. But I got it done.

One more run here tomorrow, and then tomorrow afternoon we return to Nashville. It's been a good trip, despite the cold.

Good day, Kicksters.

Dreary days are good running days. Cloudy and low 40s here. I did a simple ladder workout on a local high-school track: 1.5-mile warmup, 4x400 with 400 recovery, 1.5-mile cooldown. Five miles.

Good runs, all
