BBS -- I didn't even realize it was December ... Nice job on the 4er.

MBH -- Yes, just what are these big stupid plans you have?

Me -- Home yesterday with a mild sore throat. Going in today, but only because I have to. Will try to run and maybe swim today. Humph.

BBS - amazon.com is your friend

Chances - sore throat and swimming don't seem to be a good mix. Stay healthy.

So, Mr Pfitzinger said 8 GA miles. What do I do? 10.25 miles. Off plan already!

MBH--SPILL IT!

BBS--don't wait too long. I did. Very picky about one item I'm getting someone. I did find it. In England. It will arrive well after Christmas.

chances--not sure a swim will help you if you have a sore throat.

Asics--what are we going to do with you?

I am doing better today, but still gonna wait a few days before I start making phone calls. Let's just say I have lost total faith in our "judicial" system. 2000m in the fishbowl this morning. Just by switching back to long swims with a few speed drills, my times are rapidly improving. Can't wait to see what's gonna happen over the winter.

AND, one of my gym friends was saying that she prefers running trails, but not by herself. Hey, you know, I'm just starting to get into trails and I don't like running alone either. So we're gonna see if we can run together.

Hey all,

Just got back from another interview, a second at a place where I went last week. Talked to 4 different people and they all went well except for one guy who really grilled me. Ugh, second interviews are always worse then firsts. Hopefully this guy was the bad cop with every candidate though, not just me.

Back at the house now and it's time to run. Easy 5 today with some core.

MB - as soon as you said big & stupid you knew we were going to ask.

RA - you rogue, you.

Chances - careful with that cold.

BBS - I knocked out most of my Christmas elf duties this past Sunday...just got on a roll I guess.

I think you guys might be able to guess given my mileage pattern lately. Here's a hint- I'm going to do 13 today after the stupor from my last exam wears off.

Glad the four went well BBS.

Get over the sore throat soon Chances.

Jeebus Asics, already off plan? I think you need to work on your discipline a little.

4BM- I love trail running- hopefully you guys are able to hook up. (Although I don't know if I'd want a training partner when I run on trails, because there'd be someone there other than deer to laugh at me when I wipe out.)

Enjoy the 5 Hawk- and yeah, I wouldn't seat the tough interviewer much- you're probably right that he was just trying to be difficult.

Mailbox - are you a character in a race organized by the author Born to Run for his new book "Born to Run 2: Back to the Shoe"?

Nice and easy 5 this afternoon, first time in a while that my pace involuntarily crept under 8 minutes/mile and stayed there. I guess I'm finally turning the corner on the post-marathon recovery efforts.

Nice workouts today. I got in 30 minutes of stretching. Then headed to the rec. center for some running. They got new treadmills since the last time I was there. They sure are nice. It was a run to test out my foot and it felt o.k. 3.30 miles in 30 minutes and the rest did me more good than harm.
