Good morning, TEAM LIT!

Anybody catch the total eclipse of the moon? Too much snow in the northeast skies for me to see anything. We're in the middle of a 36 hour steady snow fall. Not all that much accumulation, but there's always white stuff falling from the sky. Many spinouts on the roads as folks get reaccustomed to driving in it.

5.65 mile jaunt on snow-filled streets with Andyman and the Diesel.

4.7 miler from the Y this morning. Wish I could say I saw the eclipse since I was up in plenty of time, clarning driveway and cars. Good run, roads were not too bad. Then ab work.

Don't get me started on the drivers. I could have walked home faster than it took to drive.

Wanted to check out the eclipse, but sleep was definitely at a premium last night. Actually, come to think of it I think I saw the very last glint of it at 5:00AM.

Took yesterday off...from both work and training....and Saturday and Sunday as well. This post-Ironman forced recovery is starting to agree with me. I did head to the doctor yesterday to have my left leg checked out and was told that it is in fact my hip flexor and the numbness is the result of that. I have the green light to continue my activity.

Today: Did a very social 750m swim...chatted it up with a few folks between laps. I was going to lift weights but decided to just get into work a bit early instead. At lunch today I went out and did around 4 miles with my work/running friends, at right around 8/mile pace. It is a beautiful day out there, perfect for running.

That is it for me now. Have a great day everyone...only four more days until Christmas!

There was an orange hue coming from the window about 4:00am or so, so something was going on, but I was just too tired to look. But eventually had to get up for this:

1:15 on trainer: WU: 15:00 build to z2 power,

15:00 drills as follows: 10 x :30 big gear hard effort/:30 high spin/:30 recover.

MS: 1 x 5:00 ALL-OUT! finished last 2 1/2 minutes at 290-300 watts

10:00 Zone 1 high cadence recovery.

3 x 5:00 (2min at 110% ftp, let power decrease 10-20 watts for every minute, and at minute 5 kick it up to 110% FTP NO REST repeat)

CD: 15 min easy. This was ugly, my poor bike has snot and sweat all over it.

20 min treadmill, set at 7:30pace for 15min, HR stayed in zone 2, which I was surprised I felt great, then jog for 5 minutes.

Then I put my 8 year old through some circuit training and had her run a mile. She asked to do this. I had her doing planks, squats, swiss ball stuff. She says she wants to get fast.. :)

1.9 hours on the TM. The weathermen lied. Turned out to be beautiful out this afternoon. Too bad I'd packed my indoor running clothes before I left for work!

Hope you heal quickly!!! 1-handed typing = definitely not fun.

Looking like a DOR for me...just didn't make it on the treadmill today due to early dentist appointments, lunch with my MIL, and various kid activities. Might be good - legs are sore from yesterday.

7 mile run at a healthy clip for me today, and felt easy. Had a very mild migraine yesterday and I'm starting to think (maybe) that I tend to run very well on the day of or after a headache. Not sure why that would be, and will need to scour the training log closely to prove or disprove it. At any rate, I'm not anxious to gather more evidence, you know?

is a 0 mile run, really a run? Isn't it more like a "0 mile stand around?"
