Morning fellers

Apple- How bout rise and shine on a Tuesday? When you work 7 days a week like I do, there really isn't much difference between Monday or Saturday.

I'm gonna take another rest day from running. I think I'll take the ol bike out for a short cruise though just to keep the legs in motion, and maybe work out a little stiffness.

BBS - good plan. I can't imagine working the hours you do.

I bagged my run this morning. Still feeling off. The neighbor's dogs barking didn't enable me to sleep in much though. Anyway, I'll be on the TM later this morning for 6 easy miles. In other news; I think I'm going to skip the planned 10k circuit race on Saturday as I'm not driving 70 miles to have a bad race after over cooking myself last week.

BBS -- That's quite a schedule. Rest up.

RA -- You continue to be one of the smartest runners I (kind of) know.

Kevin -- Given that 6.2 is a 10K, I'll let it slide. Good job. :)

Apple -- Enjoy the game and the rest.

Me -- Hotter than heck today, and lots of work obligations. Will head out to the greenbelt for 7. Got to get my mileage to a steady 30+ MPW. Tough when there's no race on the horizon.

I rose and shone early for a close to 5 mile shake out around the neightborhood, breaking out the litebelt for the first time in a while. Track tonight if the weather allows. Looks like my trip to FL should be ok with Irene turning east, hope it's not too bad on the east coast this weekend. Might not be checking in for a few days. Gotta figure out where to do a long run near Tampa on Sunday.

Nice runs/rest everyone. Congrats 4boys on the HIM, looking forward to dave's big day this weekend!

Uh, still not for the "rise and shine" thing. Not sleeping well and wasn't too happy to have to get up at 5:30 to let the dog out. Planned to do a shake out trot this morning but the first trip down the stairs indicated otherwise. Headed out for a spin. Uh, yah. Feeling the weekend! But felt much better afterwards. 18mi in just over an hour.

BBS--yep! Nuthin' like a spin to loosen up the legs.

Asics--good call. We're in this for fun, remember?

fuller--nice trot.

chances--enjoy!

zrun--stay safe.

And, lo, it came to pass that running on the treadmill with earphones that won't stay put begat annoyance. The running gods looked down and said... boredom be upon you. And, yes, there was boredom. Boredom, until the 6th mile was upon me, that not even ESPN Sports Center on a 15" TV 20' away could smite.

Chances - Hey, I'm not as smart as you think I am :) Keeping a base is tough but you're just the man for the job.

4boysmom - a mere 18mpm ride...

zrun - nice job trotting the light fantastic this morning.

Apple - enjoy the day off (?)

kfuller - nice job getting out for a 10k

Hey all, sorry no post for the past few days. Not much to report though since I can't run due to the knee. Did some trail biking and core last night.

Guess you all heard by now about the "big earthquake" in Virginia. It happened today while I was in the pool. So I didn't feel a thing but of course I had to get out and evacuate like everyone else. I had just gotten the intervals portion of it underway, only made 350y total for the whole swim. Perhaps DW & I can get out for a walk or ride tonight.
