Hi, Todd & Pro.

62 F
8 miles with 8x400 @ ~1:34, 400 recovery.

Now just short easy runs until the HM on Saturday. It's a fast course and I'm hoping to run 1:37 or better.
I ran last night; 5.5 miles through the park. Then I drank about a gallon of water!
Good morning/afternoon Todd, Craig, millbot, tom & Ilene,

X-training day today, I'll probably head off to the gym before lunch and do some weights and maybe ride the bike or the ET. It's overcast and cool here, a really good day for a run in the woods, but I don't want to overdo it before H2C.

I'll report back later.

Millbot, what half are you running this weekend??

good morning everyone! (have I said lately that I love this board??? )

I'm heading to the gym for a run during my lunch hour. Maybe see you there John? and I'll apologize right now for not bringing beans for you. I was canning what I had this weekend and forgot to keep some out for you. I was planning on picking more last night, but then got to canning my beets and couldn't get out there before it got dark. I'll be picking more again soon though, so maybe Friday you can get some? when are you leaving for H2C?

It was nice to see Linda on the intro thread. Hi Linda!

my running really sucks this month. After a 101 mile month last month, I'm only at about 43 so far! I'll be lucky to hit 65 or 70 at this rate
Hi John. I'm running the Hobble Creek HM, a small local race (~1000 runners).

Tammy, do you have a race on the calendar? That always gets me geared up.
Mill - yes, I have a 10 on Sept 8th and I just ran in a 12K on Aug 11th. I average about one race a month from March through November - so you'd think that'd keep me on track!

but I had quite a bit of vacation time I used in July - so had more time to run and make all my runs longer in distance. And then August rolled around and we've just had a real crazy busy month so I haven't been able to have as much time for running. Sometimes it's such a feat to find the time after working 40+ hrs a week, and still needing to have the quality time with family that always takes priority for me. Plus, my DH has been working late most evenings and even though he works from our home, I feel guilty going for a run after work, when he's already been home with our son all day - so I need to come home and take over DS duty, so he can just work uninterrupted yk?
Sub 1:35, millbot. Give 'er.
No sweat, choovie. You'll get back at it.
lynden, why no motivation? What's going on?

Still fluffin' COLD here. It's supposed to be warm this weekend, so I'll probably turn into a dry old hockey puck in Oregon. But I'll be a happy desiccated puck, so no problemo.

7k, 5 of 'em kinda fast. Felt good.

Easy running till Friday. [Twitch] No gym. [Twitch] A little uneasy about running in the dark (ankle still not completely flexible), so I'll try out the headlamp that MUSTANG SALLY leant me for this jaunt. Thanks, Sal. You're the greatest.
I second the I love this board sentiment.

Got in 3.2 at lunch in 32:29 Temp at 90. Setember where are ya??

Milbot I'll be thinking 1:37 all day on saturday.

Great Day and runs to you all.

I went to the gym around noon and ran into the Tamster (funny how I knew that would happen). Walked fast for 25 minutes @ 7% grade while I admired her form,... I mean gossiped..... er chatted about current events.
Then went and lifted weights, or what I could as the ribs still sore from the spectacular face plant of last month. Someone said that leg extensions are good for IT band issues, so I'm doing them like a fiend

I'm also quite fond of this board as well, I hope more will move here.

Good luck this weekend Millbot, I see sub 1:37 would be a PR for you. That looks like a nice course, but less than 1000 a small race , that would be hugh around here.

Choovie- How do you add that little ticker do-hickey to be bottom of your posts ??

Gordon- you guys going anywhere on vacation ??

I better go to work now
yeah, how does that always happen? did you plant a gps chip in my car or something?

I didn't realize you were at a 7% grade?? dang - that's impressive.

you must have left shortly after our run. I was looking for ya to say bye after my shower but you were no where to be found.

I forgot to ask you when you leave for the weekend relay? friday?
ahhhh, that's what it was. After a year, you'd think I'd figure out Johnny's motives by now. I guess all those years growing up sheltered in the midwest still shows up in my naivety.

I'm liking this board too! But not matter what board, the conversations end up going downhill .

Good luck on Sat. Millbot - sub 1:37 !

Well, I was going to run on the TM tonight since it's been raining out . . . but I lost my motivation after dinner. So, I guess a rest day for me and I'm going to try extra hard to get out of bed early tomorrow and run before work.

Have a nice night!
