Morning all

Congrats to all the Boston runners, especially Jill & Loopy

I want to get out for some 800s today... but we are having 40mph gusts here.. I'm so over this freakin wind. Not sure what to do. Run an easy 5 outside? Run my 800s on the TM? Run easy on the TM? <sigh> we'll see.

Ditto to Jill and loopy. Great job. And just think, you were there when a 2:03:02 was run!

BBS -- Nothing worse than running in the wind, except running fast in the wind. Good luck.

Yesterday was an off day, and I'll prolly get in seven GA miles later.

2500 in the fishbowl this morning. Sets of pull buoy, catch up, paddles, single arm drill, paddles. Will see Thursday if all these drills are helping our not. Son1 and I finished TOSRV registration last night. We're riding #'s 14 and 15. Slowly but surely we're getting lower numbers! The guys were joking that eventually we'll get bibs with just our first names, like the elite runners.

Jill and loopy--great job yesterday! Can't wait to read race reports!

BBS--AGREED! I am so done with this stupid wind.

chances--enjoy the trot later.

Good morning everyone. I had a rest day yesterday due to rain and such. Today I did 4X5 minutes with 3 minutes of rest between. It was a good hard effort.

7:20; 7:22; 6:55; 6:53 The first two had some uphill thrown in which made them a bit slower. Overall it was a good measure of where my fitness etc... is at.

Have a great morning everyone.

Morning all. I ran 6.5 easy in light rain and wind this morning. Felt good, starting to feel the improvement curve working.

BBS - I agree, this wind is getting old. Maybe you can find an 800 road stretch you can do with the wind and jog back.

Chances - have a good 7

Apple - are you all recovered from tough mudder?

4boys - good job in the pool

kfuller - nice intervals

Schedule days 7 GA miles. That ain't happening as I feel like crap. Hopefully I can make it to 5 miles on the work TM before lunch.

zrun - Sweet! At least it wasn't snowing this morning...

kfuller - nice effort on those intervals.

4boysmom - nice job with the drills.

Chances - enjoy the 7.

BBS - I have to say that I can't remember when it's been so windy for such a prolonged period of time.

Had a nice long post all ready to submit until my computer decided to spontaneously restart. So nice runs/swims today everyone.

I did a little over 7 total, with 4 tempo miles in there at 7:00, 7:07, 7:15, 7:14. Not what I was hoping for, but some hills in the middle miles kind of took my mojo away.

Nice job in Boston yesterday Loopy and Jill.

Morning all,

Hopefully everyone's feeling inspired by that race up in New England yesterday. I had a rest day yesterday but I'm rarin' to get out today, even if it is just for an easy 8 or so. It seems we'll be getting rain on and off throughout the day so it may be a slightly wet one. I have a 1pm meeting so it will probably have to wait until after that but come 2pm, people better stay out of my way.

BBS - hmm...good luck on those 800s. Not much you can do about the wind, except not worrying about splits. Just keep your effort consistent.

Chances - have a nice easy one

Apple - I'm with you, wanna see those reports!

4bm - you're getting dangerously close to elite rider status.

kevin - good job on the 5 minute fartleks

zrun - glad to hear the curve is bending the right way

jebba - come on, 2 miles today...you can do it!

ETA: sneaky Mailbox and RA got in & out while I typed and posted. Nice 7 MB and hope you get that 5er in RA.

Well, felt OK once I got going. Managed 6 but could probably have done the scheduled 7. Had to vacate the TM since the gym got busy.

Hawk - Just 8? LOL Also, 2012.

Mailbox - nice going with the tempo

Add my congratulations to loopy and Jill!

RA - nice 6.

Hawk - enjoy the 8

MBH - nice tempo, despite the hills

zrun- light rain is one of my favorite times to run

kfuller - you are really doing well this season

4boys - Like Dory says from Finding Nemo: Just keep swimming!

chances - hope you got your 7 in.

BBS- windy here, too.

Me- up early for a p90x workout, and then did about 3 miles with Easy in the stroller. I think my days of stroller running are coming to an end; he's just not that excited about sitting still. Oh well, I really don't think it will be too long before he can ride his bike next to me.

Back from the 8 (yes, RA)...actually I took my usual work 7-miler and added a little extra loop in the middle of it, which I thought would add more than a mile, but that's all I got from it. Coasted along at a shockingly easy 7:40/mile pace...6:59 for the last mile.

Humid, one might have even said it was muggy out there today had it not been 63 and overcast.
