Day 3 of Carb Depletion. I woke up this morning feeling pretty good thinking that this no-carb thing was going to be easy. Well, that feeling disappeared on my very first stride of my run this morning. I had absolutely no energy. The gas tank was empty and here I was going to put in a quality workout. This turned out to be one of my worst runs in some time, but I'm not worried about it. I'm still battling a cold/flu/whatever, but seem to be doing better than I was last week.

4 x 1200m (Goal: 5:04):
1) 5:00
2) 4:58
3) 4:56
4) 5:00

Total workout: 7.5 miles. The rest of the week is pretty easy, but I'm not looking forward to two more runs with no carbs in the system. If I can get through these next two days, the marathon should seem like a piece of cake.

Flounder, when I start loading, what foods are good for packing in the carbs?
