Ran this morning, not sure how far. I think about 7k or so. Muggy! So I jumped in the pool afterwards to cool down. It's sad to think pool season is almost over. *sigh*

I ran around the house frantically to get DD to school on time. Does that count? :) I'll get something real in later today.

Morning Gang -

Cute puppy visitor Brandy!

Intervals started today in the pfitz 12 week plan. So I got 7.3 miles done w/ 5 x 1000m intervals mixed in. Was supposed to get 10 miles total, but ran out of time. They felt good.

DD (7th grade) started cross country yesterday. They practice with the highschool team. They had two practices yesterday and I was exhausted just hearing about everything she ran. She is really pumped up about it and thinks she's going to love it.

Did MN Peeps see that the author of Born to Run is going to be speaking at Gear West Sept 15th? You need to buy tickets in advance if anyone is interested.

Good runs to all today!

Wow, Missy, it's very impressive that you are still running. I wouldn't be surprised if you had the baby right there in Central Park then hop right back up and finish another couple miles...

Last night's run kinda sucked for me. I tackled the hills, and didn't do a very good job. It was hot and sticky at the start, then it was pouring rain half an hour into it. At least that cooled me down a bit, but I was still feeling out of sorts. I think I was feeling beat up from a higher-than-usual mileage total from last week.

Still, that was Day #13 in a row with a run, which is a new record for me. Today I plan on making it #14. But it'll be a short and easy one today...

Missy - I agree - you are amazing!

Cindi - I hadn't heard that. (oh yeah, the puppy belongs to the Shoe Whisperer and does come to Gear West when she is working)

Morning all! Getting some miles in this evening of an as yet undetermined distance.

Bear!!!! I love puppies so dang much!

I wanted to see if you could all say a little prayer & keep my lil sis #2 (Jen) in your thoughts today. She's having surgery to remove a monster fibroid on her uterus and it could mean a hysterectomy depending on how deeply it's attached. This is not a desired outcome and I pray it doesn't come to that. Thank you!

Baggs & Brandy and any other Twins fans - there's an article in Entrepreneur magazine about the turnaround:

Morning. 4 miles last night. Fairly fast. Great weather. I wish I could run more, but coach grounded me from really running. Boo. I guess the DNF at the 15k on Sunday was the main reason. I had raced four weeks in a row and running in the morbid humidity finally caught up with me.

Just doing four after work tonight, before the Twins game. This not running is going to drive me crazy.

Maria - hope everything is ok with the little sis...

Seriously Missy , when I was beyond my due date with DS I didn't even like walking anywhere.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~healthy uterine vibes for SisterPfeiffer~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ and (((Maria))) cuz I know you must be anxious and worried.
Ran 5 miles last night and my wonky left shin is talking to me so I didn't run this morning. I have 6 on the schedule to run today but I think I'll rest instead.
I need to revisit the Shoe Whisperer too, my shoes have been upgraded and I want to know what I need to wear now. I have one more new pair of my shoes in the closet that I'm hoping to reserve until closer to TCM. I'm still planning to come up for the WBL 20 miler on September 11so maybe I can schedule time with her then. Sounds like she's busy, maybe I better call now!
Baggs, I've only run 1x in the last 10 days myself.
I dug out an aircast we had laying around and put it on this morning to see how it would feel (and fit in my dress shoes) and it actually seems to work pretty well. My ankle feels pretty well supported, so I'll wear it for a couple few days and see how it functions.
Nice work on that streak, Bob!
