Hi TW! Hi KS!

Temps are supposed to stay in the high 80°F's all week here. No rain in the forecast, so will be running only in the mornings.

4 easy miles through the park before work. Could have wrung me out by the time I got back to the office.

Morning, afternoon, good evening

Remember me?

You can only say sorry so many times and when you feel you are not really contributing to the forum like I did it is easier to stop posting. I'm alive and well on Facebook and active on a couple of

forums in the UK.

In August I start training for the Snowdon marathon which is one of the toughest in the UK and I have set myself a very agressive target which will help focus the training.

So here is the thing, I have been asked if I want to be a pace maker in the NYC Marathon in November, seems my efforts in Brighton were good enough to be considered for another role.

MrsG is still not always healthy(same medical issues) and has not run a stride(trouble with PF and a Peronial Tendon) since April 23rd so this throws a little spanner in the works as she was expected to do some pace work as well and we are not sure she will be running even by November.

She has however competed on the bike at Time Trialling finishing 11th in the National 10 mile TT 7th in the 25 and 6th in the 50 mile TT. When her body works she can really put the power down.

I hope the trials are good and people are running well

Hi Gobi.

I've been watching you and Mrs G train via FB. What pace group would you pace in NY?

3.10 is what I did at Brighton so would be expecting to do the same again. Hoping to arrange to go to Reading PA to see the Pagoda Pacers and maybe do a race. Just all depends on MrsG.

Nice to see Gobi drop in! I'm sorry MrsG is still having her health injuries on top of the running injury issues also.

anyone hear much from Liam since Maisie Mae was born? Would love to hear how she is doing. well, and Liam too . . .

OM, continued thoughts and prayers for you. I read with interest your description of this procedure. I have never heard of something like that before. I hope all continues to go well and you are feeling better.

I'm glad you are taking some time off from running also John. I would say "enjoy your free time" but seems like once we stop doing something that was occupying a lot of time, that time slot quickly gets filled with other things and there really is no "free time" so to speak. At least that is how it is for me.

Up early this morning - but not for a mens breakfast. I had hills for breakfast instead. mmm, tasty! 3.7 miles, 37:46. that woke up the legs!

I finally got some exercise! Rode and easy 15 miles tonight with dw and some tri guys and gals. Pretty easy riding but the lovely and gracious mrs ccrunner (dw) got nauseated from the heat. Index was only a 100; geez. Since her shin had been hurting she has been swimming 5 days a week but always before sunrise when it is coolest. She wasn't at all prepared for the heat. I rode the last 4 miles hard to get the truck and come back to pick her up.
