morning!

Got my massage yesterday and posted my RR. That's pretty much all I did on my day off. Now it's back to work...

Scratch - I'm still bummed I missed meeting you on Saturday. Not sure how that happened...
Sign me up for massage too. Just the calves, but I'll take anything I can get!

I have no fun this morning, it's off for my last day onsite with a client. Which means a big lunch, a bit of panic from those who forgot to ask me how to do things they need to do while I was around, possibly some photos, hopefully plenty of time to be on the thread and catching up on RRs! Maybe even do my own...

QOY - [is this the right thread? I can't remember. Oh well.] As was pointed out already (!), I am a shoe relacer. I like trigirl's suggestion of yankz. Never heard of them, but might have to seek them out!

Have a good day, all! I hope those still in transit (you know what they say about Atlanta airport - you might go to heaven or you might go to hell, but you're definitely going to have to pass through Atlanta on the way!) get home safely.
Hey folks!!! Love the pics from Philly!!! I am sure Heater will have some great ones to contribute!!! If people have them on snapfish or something, can you send links? I want to get copies of a few!!!

Nothing else going on. No desire to work. All I can think about it vaca next week!

That is all for now! Will check back in later when I am sure more pics will be up!
My legs are less sore than yesterday. I slept in today... got out of bed at 7:40. Which, for every day other than Sunday actually is sleeping in for me, but it would have been nice to sleep a bit later.

I'm sitting here at my sister's, watching the kids get ready for school. My youngest niece (from this group anyway), is coughing a lot, but fortunately she knows how to cover her mouth now.

I'm loving all the photos. I will make a photo album of mine on Flickr, and post the link. This will probably happen sometime on Sunday.
Good morning everyone! Speedy (pun intended) recoveries to all who need them. I won't be on as much today as our office is having a Thanksgiving lunch today for the staff. I'm sure there will be more great photos from Philly to look at tonight.

Not much else going on that I can think of at the moment. Just checking in and wishing you all a great day.
So many people. Oof. I did have a stretch on Saturday night where I had to sit by myself for around 10 minutes -- I don't do well with crowds. Later on I managed to get up and introduce myself to Bob and Litch too, but there were just so many people there.

But some point our racing paths should cross and it would be good to say hello.
Gotta spend today getting ready for Thanksgiving as I'm hosting this year and the in-laws are coming tomorrow. I have to go find that grocery card so I can get my free turkey with all the points I've racked up.

Like Beaker said, keep the pics coming! Since I barely took any all weekend there are definitely a few I'd like to download.

Can you believe that it's Thanksgiving already??!!??!!

QOY: My only quirk is that I always wear a hat, although I've just gotten that headband with ear warmers on it and like wearing that now. Oh, and I never double knot my sneakers. The first time I've ever done it was in Philly.
I have an appointment at 10, but I'll be uploading and sharing photos right afterward.
I have seen those BUT I don't think I would like them. I think not being able to retie my shoes would drive me nuts. Seriously

how can you not knot 2x? I did this 1x only during a race because I was in the midst of a retie when the gun sounded (eek!). At mile 3 of a 10K, it came untied. Boo!!!
We drove home from Philly on Monday and got home around 6:30PM. Did nothing except fire up the wood stove. Got work at 10:30AM today and it's snowing here in Vermont! My legs are a Jello mold after the marathon. Basically at mile 20 I asked myself, would you rather be sore for a few days by going all out for the sub 3:30 or feel bad for a whole year from not trying? (3:29:06)

I am very happy and sore. Will try to get my RR up tonight.
I only tie a single knot.

Now it's kind of scary, but there's a guy with an obsession about how to tie shoelace knots. With his website, I found out I had been tying bowknots in a granny knot and once I corrected that, my laces stay tied very nicely. They went 13.1 miles on Sunday in a single knot no problems.

http://www.shoelaceknot.com/shoelace/knots.htm
G'morning all. Tried to force myself onto west coast time by staying up late last night, but as you can see, I'm awake. That's okay - more posting time, since I have the week off from work.

QOY: I don't think I have any real race habits, though I have gone with the same two pairs of black shorts in every race that I have worn shorts since 2006.

The post-race habit of going to the gym and working out after a race has kinda' ended, for the most part.
