Morning All
Nice hilly run Peter, I had a 6 miler undulating trail run. The HR monitor playing up but once I ignored it my pace improved and I enjoyed the winter sunshine, yes it will soon be spring.
5.75 very windy miles at 8:53 min/mile pace. Fortunately I noticed the trees and flags whipping around before I started, so I went the opposite way I usually run - to make sure I went into the wind to start and with it coming back. The wind had to be a constant 30 to 35 mph. I felt like I was hardly moving there for the first few miles.

Happy B-day to RCG son!

What a difference a day makes. Cold, but no wind. The calm before the storm. It's supposed to be real nasty, snowy, icy out later into tommorrow. Glad tommorrow is a rest day.

Today, 8 miles w/3 at slightly slower than HM pace. Was scheduled for 11 w/6 @ HM pace but after a high mileage week (for me) I just couldn't go the extra. Oh well......better than nothing!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Nice runs Peter, Jogger, Breger, Rose, Gin, Perch and Dave. Great Photo! Looks like Dave had lots of fun… he’s absolutely glowing.
We woke up to a winter wonderland so school is cancelled again. I shoveled first then went out for an easy 4.5 in several inches of pristine powder wearing my snow tires. It’s snowing heavily now…very pretty. Several more inches are predicted, followed by a nice glaze of ice on top of it all. Have great runs today!

Nice runs, Peter, Roy, Bill, rcg.

Happy birthday to your DS, rcg!

Perch, Quintus & Tory are looking good! Neat that Tory has built-in reflective gear.

Good job, FF. If you have to shovel, I can think of worse things than snow.

8 easy miles. I think they were all slower than Rosie's speedy 3rd mile.

ETA: cj, best wishes to your father. We'll be thinking of you.

I was dragging pretty badly when I hauled my butt into the gym. I didn't have high hopes for a good workout, but I got into it as it went along and I ended up doing 1 mile walking for w/u and c/d, and 3 miles running. Thank goodness I'm a stubborn Irish broad who won't give up easily.

No running tomorrow -- it'll be my ambulance & long work day. Yesterday I was at Westminster for most of the day, and then I walked around freezing cold NYC. I was trying to buy a new pair of running shorts but most of them had those little boy shorts underneath the regular shorts, and I don't like those. They always seem to creep up my butt, and I prefer the ones with a regular sort of panty-lining. Bah humbug. I went home empty-handed, except for doggie toys for the dynamic duo that I had picked up at the dog show.

Hey! I'll be chasing those guys around the desert soon! Woo hoo!

Got a rather befuddled note from the Circulation supervisor at the paper today, informing me that she is forwarding my note to the manager. "I do not know quite what to say in response, there is a new carrier that started the route on the 9th of February, I am just hoping he will be up to speed shortly so that he may save you from your fate." So now I feel like a bit of a heel, but it was fun and therapeutic nonetheless.

:50 over rolling hills after work today, before a big dinner at Government House celebrating The Scot's boss' boss' 50 years of service to the Legislature of BC. I think I'll use one of our local classics, the "Seven Hills 10k", usually run from the downtown Y. I'll adjust a bit and run it from home tonight. Should be a fun character builder.

http://www.mapmyrun.com/run/canada/bc/victoria/41832104

MS, I think the circulation manager was cool! She so totally played along!

A witty and not surly response!
I'll bet your paper will arrive on your porch with a bow and a biscuit tomorrow!

Yes, you do, Econo!

Nice runs y'all, especially you, Bill. Running in 35 mph winds is tuff. You can skip the pool running this week.

More cold temps here: 8F. So another boring TM session for 8 miles 1:06:37 (8:20 pace). Spring can't come soon enough.

6 inches of fresh snow.
1 hour clearing driveways. (mine and the 90 yr old next door.)
1 hour snowshoeing!

Edited to add: Still snowing, another 4 - 5 inches, so I went back out for another hour on snowshoes. I used the 48 x 12 wooden ones this afternoon

Econo rocks!
I’d rather be shoveling white stuff, mill. I’d much rather be snowshoeing like old guy.The only reason I shoveled was so MrF could drive out and not pack the snow down with the tires, making it harder to shovel later. Then instead of driving he rode his bike….in a snowstorm! He’s nuts. He made it to work OK, but I’ll bet I get a “come get me” call later.
