Hoping to get a medium-longish run tonight if weather isn't bad, and if it is, hopefully about an hour of snowshoeing instead.

Have a great day.

8 very easy miles. +16F WC +6F all in all a nice morning for a run. Road were in excellent shape - Trails were very slippery - but its not as big of a deal when you are running slow.

I thought about blowing off my run today all morning long. I kept looking at the temp: 22 with a wind chill of about 5 degrees. Gusts up to 25mph.

I finally bit the bullet and went out. I'm glad I did. It was so chilly the sweat on the tops of my gloves froze. But, it was a great way to celebrate being another year older, and now I get to eat cake tonight without the guilt!

5.25 miles in 46:06 (8:47).

Almost forgot ... I also did upper body weights when I got back in and defrosted.

Happy birthday, Jen! A run is one great way to celebrate.

I stayed indoors for 5 easy miles, leaving the treadmill fan off and keeping a long-sleeve shirt on until near the end when I practiced stripping and running. This is not nearly as exciting as it may sound as I had a singlet on underneath.

I also practiced stopping to quickly drink a cup of water every mile. I did OK but there was a bit of sputtering. Now I wish I'd chugged more beer in college!

Mikey roads here still sucked. Well by the time I got to run there was already another inch of snow on the ground so maybe that's why. 8.1 miles at 8:07 which is great considering 4 miles into the wind on the way back and slipping around the whole time. Mike today I also got cold where no man wants to be cold and it was horrible...that was actually an amazingly painful thing and I didn't feel better until about 10 minutes into my warm shower. I'm not making the too few layers mistake again....yikes.
