After 9 and no one has posted yet. I guess I get the honor this morning. I got in a nice 5.25 in 44:17 with the last mile around 7:40. I wanted to get a bit of speed in at the end of the run.

MBH- What are you tapering for? I've been awol so I probably missed it.

Got in 6 dead legged miles today. Back to work tonight. I think the more time you have off, the less you want to go back. But, I am looking forward to getting my running schedule back in order. Less than 7 weeks till the 1/2 marathon, I need to stop goofing around if I plan on PRing.

Nothing. I was thinking about heading out for a lunch time 5'er, then I realized that (a) I'd forgotten a towel and (b) I'm taking a few days off after the turd marathon. Feels weird not running as the last time I took two or more days off was in May - I had a sinus infection. I'm calling this recovery madness. Hopefully I won't go postal.

Yep, the dailies are devolving. Maybe we need to switch to a weekly?

mailbox - nice job on the taper run.

kfuller - good job on the progression.

BBS - yeah, quit slacking. I was just starting to put my Boston training plan together. Decided to map it out on the training calendar on runningahead.com so I can easily compared to my actual log. That's all quite funny as I still have to run NYC and won't start the next cycle until mid to late December.

Kevin -- Good job.

MBH -- 3 miles? What does that take you, like 15 minutes?

BBS -- 7 weeks out from a race is no-man's land for motivation. Should I call you names or something? Something that challenges your manhood?

RA -- Know the feeling. You'll be back soon. I have a registration for NYC -- I'll decide last minute if I'll attend for a fun run.

And no, I say this is a daily thread. And a daily thread it shall remain. No matter how lame we've become.

Hey guys, all this talk and it's only October!

Rob - Day off?

BBS - I think you need to work more to get you in the groove. It'll make those runs look more inviting. No?

RA - Postal eh? You have any weapons at home?

Kevin and MBH - Nice runs

After not sleeping most of the night I fell asleep from around 7-10 am and then decided to go for my run. Actually wasn't too bad. Another 30 min.

I vote with sticking with dailies. We have several MIA. Hopefully they'll be back soon!

Internet issues so I couldn't post earlier. Tuesday before marathon = marathon pace on the track. Plan was 1mi WU, 2mi MP, 1mi CD. However, got out there and after the first 400 locked onto MP. Held it, then shut it down after 3mi. Felt pretty good. Oh, and sporting new shoes. Uh, yah, new shoes less than a week before the race isn't the best idea. But, I've got this thing about my current shoes. Back in Adrenalines, so should be okay. Plus they match my outfit!
