5 miles on the Y treadmill first this morning. I have had 0 desire for treadmill running lately, but it was convenient as I have no hot water at home right now and could use the shower after!

I am not an early bird runner by nature, but after the first mile I stopped feeling like a zombie and felt great. It's just that first mile that is so hard.

I'm also two yoga classes and taking a pilates class this afternoon/evening.

Good runs and workouts to all!

You're a machine SGH! I hope I get your iron will this winter when running outside is just trash and I'm nearly forced to run on treadmills.

Shouldn't be too hard of a practice with Conference on Thursday, but it will still be challenging. Tomorrow will be amazing though, a nearly no effort practice. Hooray! I'm ready to race!

Have a great day.

Hi all,

I gotta agree with Sparky. It was a beautiful day today for a run today. I wish all of you could have joined me on the Merrimack River Trail tonight. Why? It was 61 degrees with no wind to speak of, an a dew point of 47.

The only trick with trail running this time of year is the leaves that have come off the trees already are covering the tree roots and hidden rocks. Have to be very cautious while running. With that in mind, I will probably stay off the trial until after the Bay State.

Plan tonight was 6 miles of recovery running. I was able to meet the plan.

I had some GI issues on the way back, but other than that, I felt good.

I wish I could bottle this weather!
Run Segments
Good practice tonight. A bit over a mile warmup, mile hard back into town at 5:21, then half mile cool down. Preceded and followed by stretching indoors. The wind made it quite nippy today...maybe upper 40s or low 50s. Now everything is in the bag and it's rest time for Thursday.
