Good morning, all. Congrats to Tiff and her Tigers. I'm sure she had fun on Bourbon St. I think the game went about the way I expected. No offense to our Ohio people, but I think we know now that OSU just can't beat SEC teams...

Not only is LSU the first team ever crowned champion with two losses, I heard last night that they are now the first team ever ranked #1 at any point in any season with two losses. Yup, it's been a very weird season...

Okay, let the Tuesday fun begin...

Morning. Hopefully my stress levels will lower than they have been the past 5 or 6 days. Looking forward to settling into our normal school routine, I think.

Have a great Tuesday!

Mornin' gang! Ok...what'd I miss? I've been away the last while so I didn't get a chance to get online. Thanks to Frankie for checking up on me, that was nice. So Frankie...how are you doing these days? How's the jaw doing?

Christmas was nice with friends and family. DH got laid off the week before, so we were kinda bummed. Just tried to make lemonaid outta lemons. He's been into the job searching mode lately, hoping to find something soon. If not, I'll have to go back to work early. I wasn't really wanting to, but financially it'll be too tough for both of us to be off.

I got a Garmin Forerunner for Christmas...and have no idea how to use it yet. There'll be lots of time for that, I guess.

Babygirl got her first tooth! It's so cute! We started her on cereal, veggies and fruit and she seems to really enjoy them. I get a kick out of the faces she makes whenever we try something new. So far she hates bananas but we'll try them again after a bit. She's already up to 20 pounds...I can't believe it!

Our doggie hasn't been feeling 100%. She's got some sort of problem with her spine up in her neck and it's causing her to have a weakness in her legs. Lots of stumbling and such. I had her to the vet and they gave us an anti-inflammatory to try. It doesn't seem to be having any effect, though. She doesn't seem to be in pain, at least. The vet suggested surgery...but I don't know. She's an older dog and there's no guarantee it would even work. I hate the thought of putting her through it. I guess we'll see how things go.

I too am so looking forward to this. Paige will be 3 months soon and will be close to cutting teeth. She makes funny faces when/if we give her the flavored Mylicon (which by the way doesn't work for squat). She's so expressive now, I think when she tastes something she likes she's gonna hit the ceiling.
8 work days left before I take on daddy-doodie (duty). Nice.

Well today will mark the end of ALL of the annoying phone calls from polling and spin centers, etc. We have been blanketed with calls and visitors - even as late as 9:20PM...these people have no shame. Jerks.

The polls weren't open when I left for work so I'll have to hit 'em when I get home.
Can anyone find that link that asked the 10-12 questions and it gave the candidate who best fit your views? I need it for someone here at work.
Thanks

What's everyone paying for gas these days? $2.99 here.

Gas is $3.23 here
DS#2's face is red and swollen. Why you ask? He is allergic to cats and real Xmas trees. He went to a friend's house that had both. Apparently the friend got a cat for Xmas. Gave DS#2 benedryl allergy this morning and sent him off to school, calling the allergist at 9.

Clare glad to see you posting again

Thanks, Colleen! Ugh...allergies. I'm allergic to cats, too. And hardwood trees, grass, feathers, dust and smoke. No fun. I hope he's feeling better today.

I forgot to mention...Ken Dryden is coming to my mom's work on friday! She's very excited...she's been a fan of his for a long time. He's out of hockey and into politics these days and he's gonna be in town for meetings on poverty. Mom runs a community kitchen/foodbank so he's coming for lunch and to meet everyone. I wish I was around to go!

Sure, Bob and Maples, rub salt AND lemon juice into an open wound. Tiff, congratulations on your team's win. I'm sure you enjoyed the partying.

I'm so tired. I had a nice visit last night with my friend, despite the disappointing game. Before the game, neither of us were certain OSU would win, though obviously we wanted them to. I think that without all the personal foul penalties and other unforced mistakes, it would have been a closer final score. But, I think LSU would still have won in the end. I don't mind if my team plays their best and then loses to a better team, but the Buckeyes did not play their best last night.

Busy day today, you may or may not see me much.

Hi all. Yesterday was a beast at work. Here's hoping today is much slower.

Now Kris you know you are still our all time favorite Ohio State fan.

And here's a taste of the snow that was waiting for us in our driveway when we got back after Christmas (that's DH's car under the pile)...it was up to my waist and took all night to clear:

Hey folks!!! Congrats to Tiff on her team's win! And sorry Bard! But I still think there is something to be said for getting to the big game!!!!!

Went on a slight cleaning frenzy when I got home yesterday, the urge just hit me! Was glad I did though, my kitchen/dining area looks great now! Then decided to exhaust the dogs. Took little man out first. He barely made it back in the front door, too funny! Then took DH's dogs out. They are not used to being walked on a leash, when DH was in NC they could just roam his property and now they can run in the woods behind our house. But I want to get them better at leash walking so we ventured out. Good thing it was dark or my neighbors would have had a good laugh! Despite lots of tangles, they caught on and did well by the time we were heading home. ANd I had fun, and really that is the important part, right?!

Baby Lena is absolutely adorable, thanks for sharing the pics!!!!

Filled up my car over the weekend for $2.83/gal. And we don't even have to pump it ourself!! NJ will rip you off in every other way but for some reason out gas prices are on the lower end, so I got that going for me!

Ok, off to the lab. Lots to do today and have to sneak out early for a doc appt. I think I might have some sort of tendonitis going on in my foot/ankle area so want to see what the deal is with that! Have a great day folks!
