Mornin',

Dave- Hope the swimming goes well, with all this swim talk, I can't wait to get in the pool on Thursday.

I have classes back to back 8-1215 today and then I'll be getting some lunch with a few friends. Then I'll head back here and head out for about 4 miles or so once my food settles....and then possibly a nap since 2 of my roommates had a lot of people over until 3 am last night and kept me up even though I asked them to quiet down like ever hours from 1am until 3 when they left.

Thanks Dave...

Megs, sorry about the 'mates. Sucks to be the studious one sometimes, huh? I had that problem in college.

Richard, enjoy that 2 hour run tonight. I'm ENVIOUS!!! I love long(er) runs.

Not sure here today, folks. Either speedwork at lunch or 12 miles after work--and no, not both. Whichever one I don't do today will be done tomorrow.

Great day to all!

P.S. Wondering about you guys up in Boston/N.H. area...Baba, Ellen...you guys doing ok?

Hey Early birds.

Dave - have a great swim

Megs- Sorry about the roommates. Have a good run AND nap

Richard - Hope your run goes well later.

Heading out for 5 miles then a "run" to the ferry. We're down one boat so it's necessary to get to the dock looooooooooong before a departure time to get going on time.

See ya later.

Recovery run after school today, most likely on the TM. Mostly because I don't feel like waking my brother up to dig out what I'd need to wear. Oh well I guess getting it done is all that matters.

After one unscheduled rest day (overslept by 4 hours!) and one scheduled rest day (platelets donation), I started back running with a 3.5 mile run this morning. Getting colder again at 34F degrees with nice clear skies.

Hope everyone else has great workouts,
Nice swimming this morning Dave and yu can spel it however yu wunt.

That sucks about the roomates Megs- don't they know you need your sleep for training?

Enjoy running by time Richard, I always found that a little more low key for me.

You know Tonya- if you do your speedwork fast enough, you could get 12 in at lunch...

ENjoy the run later dan.

Alex, have a good recovery. I wouldn't mind having the option to do a few of my runs on the dreaded mill...

Take it easy out there WO. I know I never had any issues with giving blood (i used to do it on my way to lift weights and run...), but I've heard that donating platelets is a little more substantial.

For me, took it really easy on the 10 last night, not really intentionally, just kind of cruising along. I tried the core program they had in the February Runner's World. A little strange, and not all that challenging overall, so I had to suppliment it with my own abs routine. Planning on 10 tonight and just realized I need to do a Hadd test like last week, so I'll probably incorporate that. I doubt I'll see any improvement at all in my upper heart rate ranges since December was so crappy for me, but we'll see.

Hello, everybody:
About 8 inches of snow fell in my area yesterday -- not quite as much as was forecast, but enough to turn yesterday into a "cross training" effort; plowing and shoveling.
Today i got four miles in. Fell on my icy a$$ just before embarking but fortunately that was the worst part of the run.
Good runs, all

Looks like a good morning of running and plans of running later. I am on the run later today program. I have myself scheduled to do 3 miles and it could be a tempo run or just a nice 3 miles. Have a great morning everyone.

One of these days I bet we'll see something like "26.2 at MP for a total of 2:55:00 over lunch today."

Morning gang, looks like most of us have plans...

Dave: Drill? Are you training for a carpentry race or something?
Megs: Ah the joys of college life. I miss it... for two or three seconds a year.
Richard: Have fun tonight.
Tonya: Flexibility is the key!
Dan: Ferry? There's a story there...
Alex: "Git 'er done!"
Outlaw: Some times the body tells you what it needs. Hope your first run after some rest was a good one.
MBH: Good luck on your run.
Baba: I can't quite get a pun around the 8 inch ice wasteland... so I won't try. Brave of you to continue after the fall.
Mr. Fuller: Let your feet decide the program.

I was going to do doubles today, with the evening segment being leading the running clinic in some hill workouts, but I wussed out. Winds with gusts up to 60 mph. kept me snug in bed this am. Will report back this eve.

Yes! And right now I am having trouble with the 1/64 bit. Its like I wont to be drilling a 1 1/4 hole but have the wrong bit. I am hoping by next week I can move up to a 1/32 bit.

*sigh* I DNF'd at mile 2 of the half marathon. Dratted IT Band. I've been limping around ever since. Anyway, I did the race to pace a friend. She managed to finish within 2 minutes of her goal time and with a negative split. This was her first race ever, too.

I'm getting better, I just need to rest. I'm taking the opportunity to watch what I eat very closely.

*sigh*
