Hi everyone....guess I'll start this as ksrunr must be taking the long way home, either that or he's on a victory tour.

0 miles today, probably the same tomorrow

I'm sure the HR will drop down to normal in a few weeks Opie....funny how long it takes to get in shape and how SHORT it take to get out of shape.

Yes Yes Heme....more mid day carbs it is. I don't think a salad will do it.

Hi HappyFeat....are you having the nice weather up there?? like we are down here.

We sure are Johnny! Despite a forecast for rain, it's sunny, blue skies, and almost 50 - I'm looking forward to tonight's run - planning on 3 miles and it ought to be perfect. To make my day even better, I just got a salad for lunch from a local place - and the tomato actually TASTES like a TOMATO - that's rarer than sunshine these days!

Sorry I've not been around much lately. Very busy. I check in once in a while to look for the ksr report - I have no idea how the race went. Opie- you did well I know. Congrats!

1/2 mile intervals today - 5 of them and 6.5 miles altogether. These were really good (for me), all in the 7:12 - 7:02 pace range. I was getting grumpy and tired during the last one and then it popped into my head that John prolly ran this pace for 26.2 miles on Sunday, so stop yer crying!

I took a 75 minute sauna on the eliptical this afternoon. Puddle of sweat under the machine, sweat filling the cup holder, sweat soaking my shoes and socks, and sweat dripping everywhere after I was done walking to the shower. I may take the day off tomorrow and do a run thursday. My legs were pretty dead after 3 hours on the eliptical the last two days.

nice recovery TW... I think a half hour of "whizzing" would of probably killed you.....you know, the interpretive dance may just be the answer though. A few years back to appease Mrs. Johnny, we took a couple of ballroom dancing classes....turned out I actually liked it....Who knew.

Hi folks!

Watch that pool whizzing, TW!

Nice intervals Mike!

Hi Johnny, HappyFeat, Rip!

It rained all day today and the temps barely made it to 7°C, so it was a good day to stay in the gym for abs/core/hamstrings/glutes etc. etc.

Will carb up well and run tomorrow. Been fatigued a lot and my friends are telling me I'm overtraining. We'll see if last week's significant cutback helped.....this is supposed to be the toughest week in the schedule, but I doubt I'll get all the miles in that it asks for. I figure as long as I can get the LR in on Saturday, then I'm good.

I have plans for an irunmike kind of day. Will knock off work at 4 p.m., hit the bike path and run a total of 10 miles and was planning on some 1/2 mile repeats to mix it up a bit. I will probably run 6 of them but won't be as fast (shooting for 7:30-7:40 pace?), but I don't want to be a copycat I suppose.

and by about 4 p.m. we should be up to 80 degrees! first one of the season. I'll likely be a dripping sobbing pool of sweat when I'm done.

stepped on the scale of doom today only to discover I'm down 3 lbs from this time last week. but I had put on a few lbs since the beginning of the year so I'm just actually back to where I started. I think my 3 lb loss is due to the puppies. I don't have the time to snack in the evenings like I used to. too busy keeping a vigilant eye on them outside and chasing them around when they get near things they shouldn't.
