What videos? Did I miss something?

8 easy miles - left the watch at home and just coasted the whole way on a warm morning. I beat the rain by 3-4 minutes so I got to enjoy the lightning show beforehand and then heard the rain pelting the side of the house.

Catch youse later!

PC - It's always nice when you get home *before* the lightning. Also, I thought the correct Pittsburgh 2nd person plural was 'yins'? What's going on here?!?

Nice, easy 5+ last night just ambling around town. Which sounds like something Voodoo would do (I reckon ).

So I've decided tonight is the night I'm starting workouts for my spring season. It's been a long time coming. I'm heading back to the track for the first time tonight since Sept. Tonight is a light tempo run, just to start getting back into the swing of things. Maybe 8 with 5 @ 6:15 or so. We will see how it feels.

Bob - Thanks! I missed those yesterday. Nice f-bomb Net! And first rule of sports interviews -- thank all your fans!! Geesh!

8 later today.

Tom - get yourself ready for March 15th. I can't wait to see you give the HS kids a run for their money

Morning folks.

Got 4.5 on the Tm last night. I'm in a bit of a Tm crisis though.

/rant on

Probably a week or two ago, my treadmill's belt started making a small popping noise when a certain section of the belt would go around the front and back rollers. Jumping ahead to 'real time', the popping has almost changed to a situation where the belt feels like it's catching, or just isn't being gripped well by the rollers.

The good news, is that the TM is a sole model, still under warranty. I called them yesterday, and the plan is for them to send a replacement belt to me, and then they'll have a technician call me to set up an appointment for installation for $0. The bad news, is that unless Radioyada finds something tonight that keeps the 'mill from doing this behavior, (maybe we over/under tighened something on Sunday?) my main source of running is down for a couple of weeks. Bleh!

Guess I'd better plan on going home during lunch for a few days each week to let the dogs out, and trying out my legs in a nearby neighborhood right after work for a short run!

Heh.. sorry.. that was a bit long winded, but dangit... not having my TM available is a near-emergency for me! I dun want my training to slow down!

Okay... /rant off

Solar - I found a cure for your insomnia. Daniels Running Formula. I think its interesting, but it did make me sleepy.

Good runs to all!

Ailarie Is there a park near you that you could drive to in Cov.? There's gotta be somewhere to run. I'd love to run around the Oxford campus and then back into those neighborhoods behind the cafeteria. We used to go for after dinner walks back there. Lots of nice memories. Sorry about the TM! It's such nice weather out there, though, so maybe it's your sign to go enjoy it!

I posted late last night, but I got in 10.2 last night. Took a few breaks along to way when necessary, but I made it. My lower back is a bit stiff (hard to bend over) and my right achilles is very tight. I keep massaging it to get it to loosen up. This happens every so often on longer runs, but usually goes away after a day or two.

Those videos of Nettie, Voo and Liam are really funny!

Ptom What is your spring goal race? Just curious... Also, nice mention of yinz. I think it's a funny word and I make people from Pittsburgh that I meet say it for me!

Ok, gotta get to school early to prep for the Mardi Gras fun (making masks and beaded necklaces and some kids are bringing in king cake!)

Good morning!

I have time for about 3 miles on the TM today, so that will be it for me.
I loved the videos of Nettie, VooDoo and Liam. Congrats on the race!
I must go back to last nights thread. I cannot believe I would miss someone using the word yinz!
I deal with this struggle all the time. I woke up at 4 AM on Sat to get in my LR, and bagged it after 1/2 mile because it was too dark. There are no streetlights in my neighborhood, but usually there is enough moonlight. Not Saturday - I tripped 2 x and decided I did not need a sprain or worse. I did have time to get in 6 later in the AM, but figured I could get in my LR on Sunday. Well, Mrs. Tim had a 102 fever Sunday. Could not leave her alone with the kids, so no run for me.

Makes me seriously think about dropping the $$ for a treadmill.

Good Morning!

I'm still sick. It's weird having the whole coughing, sore throat thing when it's in the 80's and sunny outside--doesn't seem right.

I did get in my runs yesterday, felt the best when running. I have no idea what I'll get done today if anything, but it'll need to be on the TM. Of course, I also need to get out of bed first. This week's schedule is all messed up if I do the 5k on Sunday I'll need to move up my long run.

The videos were a blast to watch! Have good runs today, everyone!!
