Dan - I think you are keeping Life Source afloat in the PNW. Hope things turn around. Yep, the "storm of the century" is coming (again). I have the huskies attached to the front of my car.

BBS - sore shins and speedwork... hmm...

Apple - I just put Ice Age on my Netflix queue.

Yep. Got socked with the ice storm. Funny thing--this morning I was having a very vivid dream that our collie dog got out and we were waiting for a phone call. We got an automated call from the school telling us that school was canceled today. It wasn't until I went to tell son2, and in the process tripped over said collie dog, that I realized it was just a dream that the stupid dog was lost!

No way was I driving to the gym this morning. Son1 set up Sapphire on the drainer last evening (something about he had homework to do???). Not much motivation, so only managed 45mins. Quick transition, then 15mins on the dreadmill. I did open the garage door, which did help the situation slightly. Most amusing was watching birds trying to land on branches and sliding off due to the ice. Yah, it's the little things.

4bm- Nice pictures.

It is very cold here. I think one place said 12* degrees with a wind chill of -3*. Either way running outside was o.k. it was when I got into areas that did not have as much tree coverage. The wind whiping through was cold. 5 miles in 44:33(8:54). The first half of the run is always much slower than the last 2 miles. go figure.

BBS- I hope the shins get better.

Dan- Nice to see you around. Good luck at the doctor.

Apple- enjoy the rest.

RA- My recovery pace today was a slog also. Nice job on the treamill.

Mornin' peeps.

That thin film of ice was covering most everything around here this morning too. However it looks like the big storm will miss us. Then again, famous last words...

7 miles planned on the treadmill today. I was hoping for it to be an afternoon run but the meeting gods have decided to screw around with my schedule and my head, so now the run is likely getting pushed into the evening.

Enjoy all the running, resting, etc. and try to stay warm out there (or inside)!

Oh, almost forgot to mention. I'm signed up for Chicago this fall.

Hi everyone. I was up early (5a) for p90x yoga. It's 90 minutes long. I'm pretty creaky at that hour of the morning, so I feel like I mostly phoned it in. 4 miles easy on the treadmill this afternoon.

Change in plans. This sinus infection has been kicking my butt all day and I just don't feel like I have a run in me this evening. So I'm gonna call it a rest day and hopefully get back at it tomorrow.
