Happy birthday Heme!! In your honor I am NOT going to wear a red speedo today :) Hope you have a great day.

7 miles this morning ez. Temps are down 10 degrees and the high is suppose to be 10 degrees less too. Felt good to come home after a run and the shoes and shorts are relatively dry.

Wore a my new pair of K Swiss "blade light running" shoes this morning for the first time. Felt pretty good. Had a little more sproink than I thought I would have too after yesterday's run. Kept intentionally slowing down.

Watched the CC A&M XC team practicing hill work this morning. Looks like they have a good turnout of runners this year and they all look young and sleek.

Happy Birthday, Heme!

Great running reports this w/e, tw! I hope it keeps up.

8 sproinkless miles today (8:32 m/m) in light to moderate rain. I don't think I recovered from my 6 mile tempo last night. I usually do all my runs in the morning but a golf tournatment yesterday forced a change in schedule.

Darn, back to work...

Saw some nice runs in the weekend's reports!

Hi HappyFeat, Mike, and all who follow!

The weekend was fun... 3 days of slacking off, over eating, a bit of drinking, lots of laughs and card playing in the rain. No running until this morning, so celebrated the day with 5.6 slow miles before work. Have a couple of things to follow up with my medical contacts. My left foot is hurting again, different from the foot with the neuroma and despite using a metatarsal pad, so have made an appointment for next week with the sports doc to get it checked out. Hoping it's not a stress fracture! And need to regroup with my GP, who doesn't seem to think that dramatically increasing TSH levels, really low resting HR, losing hair, and increasing fatigue are signs that I may be needing thyroid treatment.

ETA: no new AG, Johnny...... only the tris around here use 5 year AGs, the trail races are 10 year, while the ultras are 45+.

Happy Birthday Heme Our age groups depend on how big the race is. The smaller races still use 10 year age groups.

Hey Johnny, I was a little young to be a hippy but I will be cutting off a pair of jeans to run in and putting my Flower Power cd on the ipod.

Those peace signs were a big hit when I was in about the 2nd grade!! Got one on my Peace Race t-shirt from a couple years ago that I will wear also.

My sproink must have transferred to KS as I finally hit the wall today. Did an hour on the eliptical at an easier pace but it was still kind of hard. I should be rested for my first run of the week tomorrow though.

Nice double PT

Back when I was running 10 miles a day, I always got smoked at the races by another guy who said he also ran 10 miles a day. He didn't tell me he was also running 10 miles a night too.
