Morning kickstars.

No running yet but wanted to give you a place to check in.

Men's breakfast at 6 this morning. Usually run after that but have a funeral to officiate this morning. Then a busy day making up for the time I spent getting ready for this.

Schedule calls for 14 tonight with 3 at sub mp. Hope I'm not too tired or it's too hot out tonight. Right now it's ONLY 60 degrees and LOW humidity. Likely will be upper 80's and high humidity by tonight. sigh; it's going to be a long summer.

Hope you all have a greta day.

No run for me today.... just a scheduled morning in the gym to work on the hips, hamstrings, calves, abs and proprioception exercises on the bosu. Finished off with a nice long stretch and treated the hamstings and calves to a foam roller session.

No run for me yet either (I sense a theme going on here), but will RAW today. haven't run since the race on Saturday. Today should be nice and warm out and since my son starts up football practice from 5-6:30, it's a perfect time for me to get in a run after work.

Hows the foot feeling John? any improvement?

Guess this is the place to post if you've got no run to report... same here, but I did go to yoga class. Tonight is the club's weekly track workout, but we'll see how my hamstring feels. It started up aching again after the weekend's 5k, so maybe trying some speedwork tonight might not be too smart. There's also a new tempo group workout on Thursdays, so maybe that would be better for me. We'll see.

Only tomorrow and then I start to back down for 2 days before this weekends Duathlon.

Feels like I train 3 days a week, rest for 2 RACE then rest again.

Winter is back here as I passed a guy while on the bike at 5.30AM and he was scrapping the ice off the windscreen of his car !!!!!!

Really? Nobody has gone out for a run yet? Wow... Like Tammy, ksrunr, OM, and apparently a few others here, I'll be doing a RAW too. Maybe time for some half mile repeats. DH fixed my treadmill and it's time to give it a good test workout.

Sorry about the return to winter, Gobi. It's chilly here today, too. We get a nice warm day or two, have lots of run off and puddles all over, then it gets cold again for a couple more days of ICE. Getting a little tired of it. Have a 5k race this Saturday that could be pretty interesting....

I was back on the treadmill this morning as the temp was low 40s and 30 mph winds. Used the dreaded #4 treadmill and lowered the incline to 1% from the usual 2%. It still felt "fast" the whole run and when I got done, I had to wipe the sweat off my machine as well as both machines beside me. Soaked my socks and could have wrung out my shirt. 9.15 miles in 70:00. Legs are a little achy from the hill running outside I am not used to but foot felt better today.

Hi Gang,

Wait - I ran this morning! 6 miles with 6 x 0.25 + 1:30 rest intervals. Tomorrow is tempo Wednesday.

Winter? Denied! I think we had our warmest day of the year yesterday, around 70. It's coming your way gobi-wan.

ks, that was a funny response yesterday re: your pr plans. Made sense immediately though.

RIP - come on down here and we can load your car up with global warming and big bags of wind too.

14 miles tonight. 1st half against the wind in 80 degrees. At 10 mile mark I ran 3 miles at 6:40, 6:40, 6:46 with wind at my back. That was about where I needed to be. I figure the wind at my back offset the heat for an even trade.

12 miles of hills at 5:30 in the morning for breakfast.

Have about 6-8 locals heading for Boston this weekend. Several are virgins so real exciting times. Looks like the weather will be perfect this year!!
