Banana and Cream. Not too bad! It was a variety pack and i also had Blueberries and Cream earlier in the week. It was on deep discount, so i figured i would give it a try

Sounds good. I'll have to try it.

I'm hooked on maple and brown sugar with a spoonful of natural peanut butter.
That's some good stuff.

(I'm using very few words today, for some reason. I think I'm just tired. So if I seem rude, it's just my sleepiness.)
mmmmmmmm, oatmeal........

I live on Sturdiwheat or Quaker Multi-grain cereal.
I have a bowl of one or the other every day.

mixed with chopped apples or berries and cinnamon

mmmmmmmm

meri,
That looks delish.
How many bowls will you eat before a run or epic event?
I had it after my morning run I had yogurt before.

On my long run days i usually have a bagel or big bowl of dry cereal and some choc soy milk and maybe a banana.
Better watch it.

Deep discount means they might be discontinuing it soon.

<------ what the heck is that?
Oh, it was on the dented can, busted box shelf Does your market have them? I stock up on beans and canned corn and oatmeal and other goodies because it is dented. Good stuff. I am cheap. It's the same freakin thing inside
Hmm, try a couple slices of strawberry in it, and you're close to the banana-strawberry bread I'm always raving about!

Seriously, glad you liked the oatmeal.

Depending on your stomach, I bet that'd be great on a cool day during a very long run. Warm you up, fairly easy to digest, and give you some quick energy.
Mmmm, oatmeal. It's tempting to have a second breakfast.

I do the plain instant w/PB, honey, and dried cranberries.
SGH,
You DON'T have secondsies or thirdsies?

wow...I'm kind of a little piglet then...
anyone ever tried the Bob's Red Mill stuff? I love their oatmeal. Unadulterated and simple.

Besides, Bob would kick Wilford Brimley's a$$ any day!!

I got some reall good hot cereal inthe "health" foods section of the store ( above my usual Kashi ) It is just called "5 Grain Cereal" by Old Wesses Ltd. I had to buy it because the second of the five grains is triticale- Like in the Star Trek Trouble with Tribbles espisode and quadro- triticale! I didn 't even think is was a real grain ! Actiually it is verys good. The other 4 grains are oats, rye , barley and golden flax.
Yes! I love this stuff. The triticale-tribble connection is what made me take it off the shelf.

Yummy stuff.
altoids and RaisingArizonaNH, I'm a huge fan of the Old Wesses plain instant oatmeal. It has a great consistency, never watery.

Today I tried Whole Foods brand (365 Everyday?) organic instant oats with flax seed. Very good -- I recommend it!
