Went with my DH and my DD last night to a local trail park. DH and DD were mostly into walking, but my inner "little kid" was much more interested in running, and jumping, and hopping, and running some more, so while they were walking I would run ahead and then turn around and run back, and then run ahead again, etc.<br><br>
There were boulders to jump over, jump off of, and run circles around. There were wide trails, narrow trails, steep trails and flat trails. There were a fair number of other walkers, runners, cyclists, and hikers on the trail so I feel like I could go back alone and be o.k.<br><br>
I haven't had so much fun since I think I was about twelve!!! I'm still totally pumped about it and can't wait til this week-end when I get to do it again!<br><br><img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif">

If you think that's fun you should try fell running <img alt="wink.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/wink.gif"><br><br><img alt="" src="http://photos-c.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v82/142/109/222301844/n222301844_1737346_8168.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
Glad you had fun!

Cheyl, that is great. I love running the mountain trails where I live, though I rarely see other people on the trails. Larry

Sounds great!! Trail running is much more fun than road or track running. Those get kind of boring after a while. I am thinking of running some trail races with a friend of mine this year.

This is exactly how I feel when I run trails! I love it! Eventually I think I'll get into more trail running and do some races, but right now I want to work on getting faster, and they don't really go hand in hand. But trails are fun and a great way to mix things up!

I do most of my running on trails. It's nice to be a part of the natural world every now and then.

Fell is a local word for mountain. So basically it's running up mountains <img alt="banana.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/banana.gif">

Went to Wildwood, which is at the other end of Arboles. Are the trails you go to in Lang Ranch maybe? There are supposed to be some beautiful traiks there as well. It's crazy, I'm surrounded by amazing trails - staring in Newbury Park you can go all the way to the ocean - but have been afraid to go on my own, which is totally silly because you're never really alone on the trails. Can't wait for the week-end!
