Wesly Ngetich, the winner of the<br>
2005 and 2007 Grandma's Marathon, was killed this week in the ongoing<br>
violence in his hometown of Trans Mara, Kenya

This stuff in Kenya is going to make Darfur look like Disney World.

It's just awful... Darfur, Kenya, it's awful <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"> I'm sad for the people there. Disease, famine, corrupt warlords.<br><br>
To be an athlete there, and rise above that area is extraordinary. I was very sorry to hear that Wesly Ngetich was killed.<br><br>
I hope that that region finds peace soon.

Dude, they're using arrows, spears and machetes. They're not interested in peace. It's all about body count. What's worse is that it's all hand-to-hand, close range stuff. They see who is taking them out, not some nameless coward with a backpack on a bus; taking a 20:1 kill ratio to the other side.<br><br>
I pray for everyone over there, but hold little hope.

man that just ain't right. I don't watch a whole lot of news so I didn't really know anything was going on. Too Sad.
